180 more repliesWhat makes this even sadder was how the I choose Popeyes chicken instead of pizza hamburger T-Shirt and I will buy this article was so cold about it. “Well the dog was breaking 2 local ordinances” and “people need to know the laws and keep their dogs leashed!” as if this was an inevitable thing and that we shouldn’t be upset at all. Who the fuck shoots a dog that approaches them like this? He shot the dog to prevent serious bodily harm??? Fucking bullshit. So I can just shoot dogs that are off their leashes? Sweet. That is because police classify service animals (except K-9s of course) as objects and not parts/extensions of the human. Therefore just shooting an object is only subject to illegal discharge of weapon charge, but they can’t even enhance it for affecting a disabled person. Nice country America ain’t it?

For those who didn’t read the I choose Popeyes chicken instead of pizza hamburger T-Shirt and I will buy this article, boy was playing with dog in his front yard. Shooter was walking down the sidewalk, crossed the driveway and dog approached the sidewalk and was barking at shooter (per neighbor). Man shoots dog in head from about 2 feet away. Police didn’t file charges because dog was off leash. Video is pretty much useless. The part where the dog closes on the man and he shoots isn’t visible, as the camera is blocked by a parked SUV. That being said, the video went out of its way to blame the family for not having a fence or having the dog on a leash, being controlled by an adult, and made it clear the guy did nothing legally wrong. And the dog did not seem to be threatening- tail wagging, casual behaviour. Sure, an SUV blocked a lot of what happened, but the guy didn’t seem to be at any risk.
