I’m in my 40s and have stayed at hostels in private rooms and enjoyed the I Back The Red For My Brother Proud Firefighter Sister Usa Flag T-Shirt in contrast I will get this stay and was social and made friends and went out with these youngins. Felt out of place at times which is normal but this might have to due to our nationalities being different (I’m from the US, versus most of the hostel guests I encounter are European) We all know that private rooms are the way to go and that dorm rooms get noisy. But something that does NOT get mentioned about private rooms is: Sometimes the bed in the private room is low quality (compared to a good hotel), so keep that in mind if you are looking for comforts of home. I’ve had some really nice beds in hostels and a few sketchy ones (being a bit uncomfortable). You are beating yourself up about your age. No one gives a f*ck except you. So just do whatever you like. Life is too short to doubt yourself. Be true to yourself and never ever worry about one other thinks of you.

Travelling for 3 years and almost 34 now. Always staying in hostels and often see people up to 50 or even above. In cool hostels ageism is not a thing… maybe in the I Back The Red For My Brother Proud Firefighter Sister Usa Flag T-Shirt in contrast I will get this more fancy/instagrammable ones it could be different but i always avoid them anyways. In India we saw this age policy a few times but after asking owners or managers it turned out that they mostly wanted to avoid people sleeping there for professional purposes (private drivers or whatever) who are looking for cheap accommodations in order to keep a backpacker vibe. I’m 34 and my mate is 45, we stay in hostels and no bats an eye and it’s honestly something thats never even thought of. When I was 21 and staying in hostels I didn’t give a shit if someone was 20 or 50 people just need sonewhere to stay. Absolutely echo that you can stay at a hostel at 35. I would just check all of your options, they may not necessarily be the best option, or the price differential between a hostel and a hotel or Airbnb might not be worth it. Private room via Airbnb is another option to consider.
