And getting laid off at 50, having coast for the I are programmer i make computer beep boop beep beep boop cat T-Shirt In addition,I will do this last 10 years, is going to make it very difficult getting another job. 32M, 80k a year, plant production operator, I do shift work 3×12 permanent weekend shift. It’s chill on the nights and meh/chill on dayshift. I am in a union and it’s hard to get fired, or mess up. Safety is huge so you can take your time mostly unless someone seriously causes error but us guys know.our stuff and don’t make mistakes. It’s not much of an income in today’s age with COL but I budget hard and save what I can, don’t live the high life. Wanna keep things smooth.. One of the better pieces of advice I’ve taken is to take jobs that either interest you or set you up for something else. Just a thought. Stop where your comfortable. I stopped just below management in my field because that’s where salary begins. I made almost as much as the I are programmer i make computer beep boop beep beep boop cat T-Shirt In addition,I will do this director of my department last year. Also management’s union sucks. Stopping where I did also still allows me to use the word f*ck whenever I want and as a backwards savage it’s a large part of my vocabulary. Depends on you. Are you a “what’s next” type of person or are you a “this is good…enough” type of person. Your question tells me you’re likely the former, so I’d say think hard on it! Honestly, the difference btwn $170 and $200K is not that significant. Make the choice not on money but on QOL and what you’re willing to sacrifice for that new job offer. Hope that helps!!
