The legislature can impose time, place, and manner restrictions without violating the I am the militia a well regulated shirt Apart from…,I will love this first. I think they just need to be viewpoint neutral. I’ve heard there is actual convoluted legal reasoning that somehow concludes that that phrase on a currency note is not, in fact, “the establishment of religion”. Oh, no, we’ll arrest them if they try to go to a state that better protects their privacy. That’s against the law. Also consevatives protest at abortion clinics…. Targeting women at a medical clinic getting medical procedures is wrong. “If they won’t listen to us at the building that symbolizes the power they have over us, then they’ll have to listen enough to us at a building that symbolizes just how personal this is—their homes,” a ShutDownDC communications team member said. I went and searched pre 2022 at-official’s home protests and it is swamped with anti-mask/anti-vax, trucker convoy, etc etc etc protesting at officials homes. Years ago I went to a local Planned Parenthood because they were one of the few affordable choices for STD testing and the anti-abortion protesters stationed outside were just awful to everyone that went inside for any issue. Drive by Planned Parenthood today and the same morons are protesting outside, being horrible to everybody. Also these justices gave a ruling that allows Westboro Baptist to “protest” at military funerals. If it’s fine for bigoted asshats to protest funerals I see no reason why this is not an equally valid way to protest.

Technically it is the I am the militia a well regulated shirt Apart from…,I will love this right to assemble, not free speech. Also happens to be the compinent of the 1st Amendement forgotten by ACB. My mom went to a protest against abortion clinics and holy fucking shit she rode that shit out for months. She really thought she was doing the Lord’s work. I was disgusted Justices will rule in ways that can equally draw the applause and scorn of its citizens. They don’t have to rule in a certain way to appease a political base. But they don’t get to pretend that their authority and decisions will go unnoticed or passively by the public. Those who chose to rule do so at their own risk (their reputations being what is most on the line). You may try to make a name for yourself. But the history books will have the final word.
