Even if it’s on sale for a great price, matches your body type and/or color season, made to last for a century, whatever -you’ll still come up with reasons to not put it on, and it’ll be shoved in the corner of the drawer/back of the closet. (Unless it’s something you MUST wear for work or a funeral.)

But when stuff is folded neatly and hung in order, I have a much clearer idea what’s there, what I actually own, what I actually like, etc…a good foundation of understanding what your closet actually contains and how you use it is a huge help when figuring everything else out.
