And the fact that after the first text he texted you again to let you know it was him says to me that he was paying attention and waiting for a response. So far you’re right, there’s nothing behind these but there is all ulterior motive. I just don’t know what it is. Maybe he has to have the last word? It’s a weird one. I’ve met people like him who just like to text for no real reason other than they are bored Baffles me that people are okay with this. Normal well adjusted people don’t need to get to know the people in their woman’s (significant others life). If the person is around, you’ll get to know them.

Considering that the I Am Black History for Kids Boys Black History Month T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this overwhelming majority of the comments on this post support this as perfectly acceptable and appropriate behavior, I think there certainly is a “normal”. And your opinion is outside of that normal. Definitely A bit odd… But as you mentioned, it might be him just trying to form a little bit of connection with someone who his fiance seems important to her. As long as it stays friendly and mostly professional it’s fine. Should that change… 🤔 It’ll be not good. It is a bit weird indirectly asking for a number and in the first text not specifying who it is from? Like he was ‘testing the waters’… It is a little strange to be honest. I honestly think it’s poor form to hand out anyone’s number without consulting the person first out of courtesy, no matter who it is you’re giving it to. I also would not appreciate some dude messaging my wife in this situation where the guy asked for her number as it seems strange that he would want it no matter how innocuous the messages are. To me there’s no reason any guy should be messaging someone else’s wife just to chit chat. It’s he’s laying the groundwork.
