Day 2 of fever and cold, really sweating through it. Could barely sleep last night because I was so bunged up. Not even the I am a Truck Driver. I am allergic to stupidity. Treating myself to a take away and a few episodes of Peep Show. Despite the rant earlier this is fantastic news! It’s the final season of The Flash and there’s been 3 filler episodes in a row with the series finale next. Clown show. When I joined the railway many-many-many-lots years ago, there was an industry urban legend about a driver based at London Victoria who had a pet Tasmanian devil* which he’d trained to sit on his shoulder while he was driving and which would react, umm, fiercely to commuters banging their umbrellas on the cab window. * This is a Tasmanian devil, for those who only know the cartoon version. They’re apparently not as vicious as they look or sound, but would you want to test that? Instead of being a normal person and going ‘yeah, everything is going fine. Nothing to worry about.’ my brain is going ‘aye it seems alright now but what’s just about to happen? The worst thing ever? Fuck it, let’s worry about that then. What do you mean it won’t actually happen…’
