Does this startup actually exist? I’m going to go with no. I think it’s very weird you were recruited for an internship on LinkedIn that’s in another state, and you are required to go there. Red flags for miles. It’s an incredibly strange situation for the I Am A Soldier In THe Army Of God Shirt also I will do this person with the most power in a company to be recruiting and frequently interacting with someone this junior. This is so gross. Please get away from this predator ASAP. None of this is ok. Him asking you if you have a boyfriend when you brought up prom is not ok. He knew it was not ok because he prefaced it by saying “this might be a sensitive question”. The first paragraph made me think it was just some old dude that was awkward at small talk. Second paragraph hit differant.

I Am A Soldier In THe Army Of God Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

He’s trying to set up two sides, him on one side, your family and friends on the I Am A Soldier In THe Army Of God Shirt also I will do this other, and then talk shit about them. Not a lot, just enough so you’d think he was still nice, but enough so that when they inevitably start shit talkin him you’d think “he was right” and then you go to him to talk about your problems, momentarily isolated from your family, and that’s when the trap closes. This is obviously creepy attitude. General advise is to keep it professional at work. Make sure your parents know this is going on. Stay safe. Hey Key Hawk, I have to say well done. For someone so young to recognize these red flags instead of just assuming that’s “the way it is”, speaks volumes to your maturity. Quit instantly! Block his texts, phone and emails. Get rid of your linked in account until after college. DO NOT, fly out to meet him. Talk to your parents and maybe someone in law enforcement that specializes in old people hitting on minors. I think, but don’t know, but what he is doing might be illegal.
