Except this is capitalism. Why make something built to last when you can have people buy and rebuy every couple of years? Now why would they do that ,when they know the I am A Dispatcher I May Not Be Perfect Shirt but in fact I love this same fools will be waiting in line to buy a new iphone every year just to say they got the new iPhone. Lol its 2022 everything is built to fall apart, cause if it doesnt last youll have to buy it again. Thats good buisness nowadays. Still using my samsung galaxy from 2016. Aside from poor camera quality compared to newer phones it’s perfectly fine. I dunno, I have an iPhone 8 and other than the screen it does absolutely everything I need it to do. It’s not that “phones don’t last” it’s that if you keep chasing apps that demand updated hardware, more space, more performance etc of course you will need to upgrade. Just, you know, don’t do that. I have an iPhone 8 and a late-2015 MacBook and they’re both fuckin AWESOME for light duty work. It’s called planned obsolescence. There is no money in creating things that last for years. It all began with light bulbs… me with my 6s. though i did have to replace the batteries once smh. i’m buying an android next time, done with iphones tbh Still rocking my Razer Phone 2. No real reason to swap it out yet, still games great, massive screen, and plenty of space. Only thing I might do is get a new battery in it.

After the I am A Dispatcher I May Not Be Perfect Shirt but in fact I love this iPhone X. There’s really no point of getting a new phone. For a regular user. It’s basically the same phone from iPhone X to 13 They are? I’ve been using mine for 5 years and I did for my last phone. I think it’s more of a question whether you’re pressured into changing to “keep up” with friends, trends, etc Here’s why (the only way to fly): The newer ones with finger print sensors under the screens instead of on a button also don’t wear out like the button ones did. Unfortunately it’s more common only on the more expensive models for now. USB c charging ports are very robust, but they can be replaced easily. You can also wireless charge if you have that capability. Batteries are lasting longer, and you can extend battery life by limiting max battery charge to 85% in the settings. This prolongs the battery life even more. And security updates extend farther than android version updates. And they recently extended the support for both by an additional year recently. How do you define 5 years. I’m not trying to be meta. If a phone released in 2022 for $200 is built from parts that were current gen in 2018, should the phone feel adequate all the way through 2027?
