It felt like getting hit in the ear even though it was in my eye. There was a stabbing pain from eye into skull, I thought I was dead for a second, then blood was pouring from my face, and I had a dull ache. I got severe tinnitus instantly and it’s never gone away. Wouldn’t recommend it. I was shot back in 2020 right when the pandemic started to get fucky. A .40cal hollow point went into the right side of my thigh about 3 inches below my ass cheek and popped out the other side. It’s more of a “oh shit that’s gonna suck” feeling that hit me first. I reached down and my fingers were covered in warm blood. I never thought about how warm your blood is until I felt a good amount on my finger tips. The feeling of getting shot is about what others have said though, it’s about a 6/10 pain for me. Recovering is the shitty part. I limped around for maybe a month and a half. Cleaning the wound sucked too. It also made it quite literally a pain in the ass to sit on the toilet.

What I’ll never forget is the hot hot hot heat and confusion from the sting. The adrenaline was right behind it and I made it home before I realized I was bleeding and going numb in that arm. I was shot in my left calf, 9mm through and through, when I was 23. It missed the bone by millimeters. I remember hearing the shot and thinking “was that a gun?” And the next thing I knew I was on the ground. I totally blocked out the actual shot. Hurt like a bitch afterwards, though, I couldn’t walk for weeks 12 Guage number 9s through brush around 20 yards. 23 holes, some exit holes in my jaw and hand. It was like someone slapped me with a fly swatter made of hot needles. Pain went away quick and wasn’t as bad as you would expect. Smashing my thumb with a hammer was more painful. Went to the ER and they left the pellets in me so I’ve been dying of lead poisoning for decades. Got hit in the military, think getting hit with a sledge hammer with a hot poker at the end. I passed out and didn’t remember shit till a woke up in a German hospital .
