Normal unless he tries to make a move. Some people just have golden retriever energy and want to be everyone’s friend. Right now it seems harmless. I wouldn’t be concerned until/unless it starts seeming less harmless. I will say though that him mentioning “don’t let her be too crazy” does throw an orange (lol) flag into the Homage Eric Mays Shirt and I will buy this mix. I agree that it is weird. Have your husband respond to his texts as you are busy to respond. He your husband ask him to to direct his texts to him not to you. You will see the results. I would feel cautious in your situation as well, but I think you’re handling it really respectfully so far. He’s probably just being friendly, but there’s no reason to create any situations where there could be the opportunity for him to act otherwise. My practical advice is to start a group chat with the 3 of you, or better yet, introduce the husband and have everyone on a group chat. This way the fiancée can chat and get to know you and there’s no risk of anything inappropriate being said

I’m about the Homage Eric Mays Shirt and I will buy this same age as this guy, and that sounds weird to me. There’s no transitive property for friendship. You’re friends with his significant other, but that doesn’t automatically make the two of you friends. If the three of you had hung out more than a couple times and you had built up a friendly rapport outside of the texting, it would still be weird but a little less so. I could see texting a friend’s significant other if he was planning a meet up and it was something logistical, or if it was specific questions you could answer because of your experience in the same field or as someone in a different stage of life, but it sounds like he’s being overly familiar. And even if it is an innocuous attempt to get to know the people that are important to his fiancee, it can still be off-putting.
