Seems innocent enough. If it makes you uncomfortable, I would trust your gut. If he texts you, I would respond, I’m really busy or I don’t feel good and keep on making little excuses and hopefully, he’ll get the message. If he doesn’t, I would completely be honest with him and you can do it in a nice way, where he maybe, won’t get defensive and if he does after you initially tell him, don’t respond or feed into it. Some things are better left unsaid after you explained yourself. Don’t know why your friend would even give him your number and not even ask you if it was ok… that is weird too!
