I’ll grant you that they USED to annoy me when I first started receiving them, but after I got used to them I really understand the Ho Ho Ho Peanuts Snoopy And Woodstock Shirt In addition,I will do this utility. Easier to voice message while walking. It’s so annoying receiving them though. The whole point of texting for me (or one of the big points) is it makes no noise! I rarely bother to listen to them, but some people are better at expressing themselves when they talk, and some people express themselves better in text. You lose a lot of nuance when you lose the time of voice, and honestly I’d rather they sent me a voice message I could listen to in my own time than interrupted me by calling and making me talk to them. “My brain works this way! How could anyone’s else brain work another way! I just don’t get it!” To paraphrase OP. I love them it’s like getting a little podcast from my mates. I don’t know why people do it for single sentence voice notes, but I love a good ten minute update on my friend’s life. I find them really handy if I’m pushing the pram or walking holding one of my kids hands and I need to send a quick message that doesn’t really need a whole phone call. Like I know if I phone my mum it’ll be 10mins on the phone because she just doesn’t know how to stop talking but I can send her a 2 second voice msg that I dont expect an immediate reply from instead.

I do it just because I can click the Ho Ho Ho Peanuts Snoopy And Woodstock Shirt In addition,I will do this call button on my computer rather than worrying about where I left my phone. I thought they were designed for drunken ramblings that cause anxiety the next morning (assuming you even dare listen back to them). I send impressions to friends sometimes. Just out of the blue. It’s nothing important but I want to make them laugh and I can’t do it over text. Well I could but it wouldn’t be very effective. More often than not I don’t even listen to them, I don’t like having the volume on my phone switched on, I’ll speak on the phone if someone calls but I much prefer to just read a text I hate them for normal conversation but I do understand why some people like to send them. It saves any typing, they just speak & those people are usually the ones who don’t like texting & prefer phone calls so I guess it’s kind of like a compromise. But yeah I absolutely hate having to sit there listening to it if it’s boring & long & could’ve been a text instead & the person doesn’t have a need to do it. If you’re someone who does this & are under the illusion most people like it just as much as you, they don’t. What I don’t mind them for if it’s used in a fun way for short recordings like sending a random bit of singing or laughter or just get across something that has to be said – but those are like 5-10 second clips. If it’s for people with needs like dyslexia, they’re ill, they need to convey tone for a serious conversation etc then I understand the benefits.
