New trilogy. Back to third person. New settings. New “umbrella” style super evil but one with a deeply personal connection to the Highly Flavored RIRI smoking shirt and by the same token and new hero(es). Definitely 1 cause that’s so unfun to play. Clunk after clunk. Really hard for me to get into it. Remakes saved the series Failing that, “Resident Evil 4: Merchant Edition” where you play as the Merchant getting to each new location before Leon. Shouldn’t they be remaking all those resident evil off shoots, like code Veronica or something like obviously updating the graphics but finishing half baked ideas or story points. Oh man, if they remake outbreak, I will lose my shit! Imagine playing with people who actually have mics! I don’t even mind if they keep the turret walking! Remake Code Veronica, Then give us another Outbreak Game or remake it up to modern standard. Then Resident Evil Survivor then Resident Evil Gaiden then at last but not least….Dino Crisis and ……Another Onimusha game or a proper remake Outbreak. 4 Player Co-op Multiplayer. Simple. It’s basically the only real “actual” zombie game out there because you can literally be turned into a zombie that will attack your friends. To be honest though. I want Resident Evil Outbreak but with a full blown up city that you can explore. Create your own survivor. Outbreak’s characters were no heroes. You had a waitress, a postman, a lawyer, a mechanic. It would be refreshing to create survivors where basically their ultimate skill is something quite minor as opposed to a triple backflip off the wall kick thanks to their superhuman strength.

Another cool thing about Outbreak is that injured characters could lean on their comerades shoulders and let them lead them. When you’re injured you limp and doing this meant that you would moved faster. And on top of all that. The zombies had great attention to detail with animations. They would grab you from the Highly Flavored RIRI smoking shirt and by the same token and front or behind and topple you to the ground or if they were crawling they’d grab your feet from the front and back. All synced animations. Oh and if you had to jump across a gap you but failed the jump, thus holding on for dear life, an ally would help you up. But it’s not the animation like every other game does it. Where the helper just “gives you motivational encouragement that you can do it!”. They actually PULLED you up. Outbreak is a damn fine lesson in quality animations. To be honest, 5. I know it’s not the best but I have fond memories of playing through the campaign with my best friend, and if they can fix the flaws in that game and still keep co-op I will be a happy camper.
