This doesn’t change anything about whether or not the government has the right to force people to have babies. Don’t be such a fearmonger. It’s not, honestly. And if we don’t have bodily autonomy, which seems like the most basic thing in the world, what else do we not have autonomy over? Nothing. Answer is nothing. And the Court is showing that it displays this power, absolutely, with no check. And that is tyranny, the very thing it is supposed to prevent, and the thing we are supposed to fight most against.

We don’t really have completely bodily autonomy, and we never have. We have this thing that people cite which they say allows them to do certain things but it’s all up to interpretation. The right to bodily autonomy is not in the constitution, it was wrong for the Supreme Court to pretend it was. That’s the real issue. Second, and potentially more problematic, congress can’t just pass laws on whatever it wants. They have to have a constitutional basis to take the power away from the States. I assume in this instance they would invoke the commerce clause but several members of this same Supreme Court have already expressed some reservations about how far the commerce clause has been stretched to expand federal power. A federal law on abortion rights could easily end up being struck down as being beyond the scope of the power granted to congress under the commerce clause (which protects the more liberal states from potential federal legislation limiting abortion access as well). So at the end of the day you could end up killing the filibuster (which will result in a backlash when the balance of the senate shifts the other way) and getting nothing out of it other than another SCOTUS case limiting the power of the Federal government over the states.
