This should be reported to Target and Woolies management. They have policies in place to follow and abide by anti discrimination law. These old Karens need some learning. I would go shopping with her but don’t make it obvious you’re together and get her to deliberately go their checkout. Then create merry hell as loudly as possible on her behalf. She’s had this shit all her life, no doubt. She’s not going to want to rock any boats. She’s in the Hello kitty gang rose shirt also I will do this minority here and is trying to just get along as painlessly as possible. This is where her fellow citizens can jump in. It has even more effect if the allies get involved. I’ve got some racist uncles like this, the type to get outraged if people aren’t speaking English you know, it sucks realising you have family that you don’t consider family. Every shareholder of these publicly listed companies would be grateful if you could do what you can to help remove these goodwill destroying employees.

It is a product of both political environment (the Hello kitty gang rose shirt also I will do this likes of Pauline Hanson) and more importantly ignorance. Living in your own shell, not learning about other cultures is IMO the main drive for racism. That of course doesn’t mean to give up your values, way of life, freedoms etc in the name of accepting others but I believe people could find common grounds to co-exist. There would still be the shitcunts who are born racists – can’t be cured, yet. I’m a god-fearing atheist, so my mate and I don’t have religion in common. I would hate to have any religion imposed on me. So, there’s definitely limits to tolerance. That’s all covered in Popper’s limits of tolerance. Worth reading about if you haven’t already.
