Like, I get the Heartstopper Nick and Charlie Hi Shirt Furthermore, I will do this visceral reaction to it. But the heat will kill them rather quickly. The knife to the back honestly isn’t much more human because they don’t have a central brain, so there is no way to know if it’s actually killing them or not. Best thing to do if you’re concerned is throw them in the freezer for a bit to put them to sleep. But like, a lobster just sort of responds to external stimulus. There is no processing going on in there. So they aren’t really suffering in the same way we would apply it to other creatures like cats, dogs, humans and octopus. A lobster is a marginal step above a plant. If you don’t feel bad boiling veggies, you probably shouldn’t feel bad about the lobster.

Far worse things happen to lobsters in nature than a speedy death in boiling water anyways. They don’t last very long in there (also, the Heartstopper Nick and Charlie Hi Shirt Furthermore, I will do this “screams” mean they are already dead or close to it. Its just steam coming out of their shell). Plus again, they’re just dumb bugs without anything going on up there and almost certainly can’t “suffer” the way we think of it. I’m sure it’s been mentioned but crabs/lobsters don’t feel pain. It’s okay they were here before humans and they will eat our protein for centuries after we are gone. Yeah mainly cuz there is no reason, you can kill them without damaging the meat much in like a second. Idk if they have nerves or not, but it’s a small oversight that shows how little a person cares
