There’s a point where when you’re lining up your goals, your discipline, and you’re seeing results that it becomes all but automatic. Find an exercise that you enjoy- mine was running, and if I rewarded myself with couple runs each week, other more painful exercises were worth pushing through. I’ve been working out for two years now. In my experience, I was once on keto…. after a few weeks, I had all the HBCU Americana Rap Tote Xavier U Louisiana Shirt and I will buy this energy in the world. I finally understood where people get the motivation. On god, if you eat right, it gives you the energy to WANT to get up and do something. Then working out sounds more like fun than work. For me one of the reasons I like exercising is that I don’t have to be as careful about my diet. I can have a beer or eat desert and still look and feel good. Granted you can never outrun a bad diet but I am exercising for overall health, improved strength and stress relief not to look hot on the ‘gram. For much of my life I had little to no motivation to exercise. I took a lot of long walks, but I lived in San Francisco then, and walking a lot is just part of daily life. Formal, heart pounding exercise, weight lifting, even yoga classes — I was not interested in any of that. Then I moved out of state and met two great women who convinced me (ok, they bullied me) to join them for twice weekly 6 am HIIT classes at the neighborhood gym. I resisted for a while (I am NOT a morning person), then gave in. It was the best thing I ever did for myself.
