When I was in your shoes, my goal was “100 rejections a month”. It’s obviously a little bit of a joke, but I figured if I got 100 rejections a month, then percentage wise I will have gotten some hits. That goal makes you apply, e-mail, reach out and consider everything out there. I made a spreadsheet of all the Hawaii Five 0 Alex OLoughlin I Like To Drive T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this asks I was rejected for (including coffee dates, zoom informationals, etc and if I wasn’t close to hitting my 100 mark I double down, and start reaching out to people even more. They might say they are, but that is all just lip service. Their actions are proving otherwise. They are purposefully putting expectations so high that it greatly limits their pool of jobs they could be hired for. If someone actually wanted to get hired they would be applying to a broader pool of help wanted ads from a larger geographic location and be open to new opportunities. They aren’t because they simply don’t want to work. They won’t admit it, but that is the truth.

So my big takeaway from this post (aside from people absolutely roasting OP) is to get out there and apply to anything that you meet at least 50-60% of the Hawaii Five 0 Alex OLoughlin I Like To Drive T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this requirements for. This is news to me as well, so hopefully this helps me get that better job that I’m after! have you contacted staffing companies. jobs are shot but they get you placed without too much running around. best of luck I went through a period of about a year and a half unemployed, sent out over 800 applications and in that tine only had 5 email replies. 3 of which led to interviews, one interview admitted they called the wrong person and the other two didn’t pan out. I later heard from colleagues that most of the remote job posts online aren’t real, those companies are legally required to post them even if they have no intention of hiring remote help. Not sure if anyone else here has heard the same.
