Yep! I have a chronic illness, my nan lives with us who will be 99 this year, my boyfriend and mum (and myself) all have bad asthma, so yes. Also, I find it really helps with my social anxiety! It’s a small inconvenience that protects vulnerable community members. Yes because covid still exists and vaccines offer reduced symptons not immunity. I don’t want to catch it even when vaccinated. Yeah. Not because I’m still super worried about Covid, but because creepy old fucks old enough to be my dad no longer hit on me Yes. Going through my transplant was far too difficult to now end up dead because I couldn’t be bothered to go through the minor inconvenience of wearing one. Yes, my wife has renal transplants, my granddaughter has leukemia, my dad is ninety six and I care about all of you. Any other questions?

Also infections are back up in my area, I think it’s the right thing to do for myself and my community I live in. My assumption is that that the mask will be sticking around for a long time and that wearing it or not will depend on multiple factors that will fluctuate over time. Because I work in different medical offices all day and am therefore a walking potential vector of transmission – more so than others even. Plus, my kid is immunocompromised. Wish other people gave a single shit about it, but they don’t where I live. Yes, I’ve been the least sick these past two years with everyone wearing masks than I have been for as long as I can remember. If the mask helps even a little, I’ll stick with it even if others aren’t. I haven’t get flu in 2 years, instead of the usual 3-4 times per year, and all it took is a simple accessory for my face? I’m fine with it. I believe wearing a mask in front of others when there’s an outbreak that may change the trajectory of the lives of others is a sign of respect for one’s health in public. Within groups of friends privately, I’ll do whatever they’re comfortable with. Yes, my whole family wears N95’s. We are usually the only ones doing so, but we don’t give a shit. We do it because we want to and we care about ourselves. Wait!!! I want to add that mask poverty is a thing. N95s that are quality are like $3 a piece and not affordable. So we are not assholes about what mask others are wearing.
