I volunteered at the Haters gonna hate mickey mouse lakers football shirt in contrast I will get this Union Gospel in Bellingham for school. It was a wonderfuly positive experience. I did it for four months longer than I needed to. It was such a super formative experience for me, I now work in social services. Ok guys. Not too long ago I was a hairs width from homelessness and I went a day or two at a time here and there without eating in favor of supporting my habit. I know hunger. I’ve eaten spoonfuls of cake mix when it was the only thing remotely food like. My situation was self inflicted even though I didn’t have control of it so I’m no victim But now I’m good, two jobs, clean, supporting two kids and on our way to a happy ending. I have a few dozen bucks of food stamps per month, and even a little cash with which to do good. If I want to help people what’s the best way to go? I’ve contacted the union mission in my town and they don’t need volunteers. Is there a preferred food to donate? What would you do if you wanted to help as much as possible(and teach your kids how to help and enjoy the rewards/good feelings of helping others) with a 50$ monthly disposable income and a day a week of free time? I really want kids to have some part in it where they can see and feel it. They’re 11 and 12

I’m always amazed (for lack of a better word) at how plain the Haters gonna hate mickey mouse lakers football shirt in contrast I will get this cheap meals produced in the US are. Like yea, this is fine to keep someone on their feet, but I can’t help wonder why they didn’t op for cheaper alternatives that would’ve made the meal more filling and nutritious. For example, they could’ve easily subbed that slider for like a bean-based (like lentils or chickpea) curry to round out the rice and lamb. Throw like some peas, carrots, and some potatoes and that’s a WAY more filling/nutritious plate. All of this could easily be done in a single pot as well, so it’s not even like it’d add significantly more work to prepare. I used to help cook and hang out with the mission after my community service hours finished each night (16, traffic ticket), and those guys and gals knew how to turn any normal looking meal into the best tasting thing ever and took massive pride in adding personal touches to meals and sharing their “secrets”, newcomer cooks regularly bringing something different to the collective. I’ve been served jelly beans, watermelon, and chocolate milk at a shelter before. Keep your head up and eat whenever you can no matter what
