It has always seemed to me from the Harrison Smith Superstar American football safety for the Minnesota Vikings T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this outside looking in that a lot of anger and criticism seems to surround this idea that he is making a profit off of it. And to that, I feel like, ‘Yeah? Good.’ He deserves it. I don’t even watch many of his videos but I see and listen to him when he makes the podcast rounds and with how hard this guy works? That success was heading his way no matter which space he was going into, so to go the game show/giveaway/philanthropic route anyway? Awesome. To a certain point, sure. However, Team Seas and Trees are ineffective and could cause more harm than good. Dr Simon Clark’s videos on the topics are a good place to start. He’s a climate activist and science communicator with a PhD in atmospheric physics so he knows his shit. What an absolute load of shit. “Naw no good cuz people might like drive more cuz of da trees” has to be the most pathetic ‘reason’ a good thing is actually totally bad that I’ve seen in a long time.

Just comb the entire population of earth for a negative opinion and publicize the shit out of it. Fair warning, ignorance is bliss. The propaganda will exist either way, but if you learn to recognize it, you’ll start seeing it everywhere. I’ve just started to immediately blocking any rage bait I come across to avoid myself getting angry at it. Has worked wonders but has me blocking quite a lot of top comments on Instagram and also certain subreddits entirely. And the woman didn’t deride him but lamented that a YouTuber from outside had to come in for people to pay attention, chastised the Kenyan government and raised concerns about the sustainability of the project, which is totally valid considering stuff like him leaving an island littered with trash after he filmed there, albeit paying for the cleanup after getting publicly called out The article mentions his company says there was supposed to be a cleanup team and they’d messed up by not following up and making sure it was done. It’s very likely the first he heard of it was when the news stories broke, I doubt he’s an easy person to get a message to since his company is so large.
