girl.. voluntarily turning yourself in is meaningless. my job for 12 years was taking in voluntary surrenders. every day it was anywhere from 10-50 people. traffic warrants, misdemeanors, felonies, capital murder warrants, parole warrants, fugitive warrants from out of state. it didn’t matter. still found drugs on people. and i’m going to let you know now, that’s not the Happy First Day Lets Do This of Kindergarten T-Shirt in addition I really love this last time you’ll be searched. we stripped searched people anytime they left the floor they were housed on or returned back to the floor. if they went to court or needed to go to medical and were not in a deputy’s custody the whole time. people will also grab stuff they’re not supposed to and shove it up their cooter or ass and try to sneak it back into their cell. that’s where the term “prison pocket” comes from. i can emphasize with you tho. i’m not being mean. i’m just being honest. just know that you ate the only one that will care. but if you make a big deal out of it, you’ll irritate the guards which is one thing but the other people you’ll piss off os the other inmates. you aren’t strip searched individually either. we do it in a big group so the quicker we get it done the better and if it gets drug out, those other inmates get pissed off. don’t do that. they do not care about your issues.

Depends what your warrant is for. I missed a court date for no proof of insurance and a warrant was issued. If it’s something petty like that, it is usually “book and release”. I went to the Happy First Day Lets Do This of Kindergarten T-Shirt in addition I really love this jail at the county courthouse at 5AM to turn myself in. I was taken in, photographed, finger printed, pat down, and in a large cell with TVs and magazines for about 10 minutes before I was released with a new court date. No strip search or changing of clothes. It was an overall not bad experience, everyone was super respectful and courteous. Still likely to happen. When you turn yourself in, they’ll regular search you, probably book you (so picture, fingerprints, etc). You’ll sit in a holding cell for a while. Your best bet is that if it’s not a serious crime, maybe just unpaid tickets or something, cuz turn yourself in early in the day on a weekday not right before a weekend so maybe Monday through Wednesday would be your best shots. That way, you will be put in front of a judge and most likely either a new court date will be set up for the judge will tell you that you need to pay your fines and then set up a schedule of payment with you. Follow the schedule payment and you’ll be all right. I’m sorry about the body dysmorphia, as that is going to be difficult for you to deal with. If you are on any anti-anxiety medication, it may be a good idea to make sure that you’ve taken me some before you go. If you have any meds that you need to take, it may also be a good idea to take them, be sure that they are in their proper pill bottles, with you. After you are booked, they will need to get you in jail clothes and so they will put you in a room and tell you to strip down. They will most likely be in the adjacent room grabbing clothes that will sort of fit you. They will have you pass your clothing back through the window and exchange it for jail clothing. There will not really be anything to cover yourself with, but it will most likely be one female officer handling that part of the booking process, and it’s probably as painless as it could possibly be while still allowing them to make sure that you are not taking any contraband in with you.
