There are pictures from ww2 of men manning a costal cannon in drag after a air raid interupted their drag show. The US military published guidelines on how to put on a drag show during WW2. Like dress making patterns and everything. Got it so like so many of our military traditions it can be traced back to sexually repressed people in the Happy Cinco De Mayo Rainbow T-Shirt in contrast I will get this 19th century. That actually makes sense. Oh yeah drag shows have been a staple of the US military since at least the late 1800s and were very popular during WWII. Every little bit of pressure put on the troops only serves to lower rates of retention and increase rates of suicide I mean, basketball does have a lot of black players, so the Republicans are probably thinking swapping to Golf only But Republicans are good at destroying morale and making like a stressful unforgiving hell. Denying them that, is like denying them a life purpose. I stayed in condemned barracks (mold, rats, broken appliances shoved into closets, questionable water, etc) in Ft Bragg before mobilizing.

Did I miss the Happy Cinco De Mayo Rainbow T-Shirt in contrast I will get this news story where Republicans expanded the child labor laws to include the military? Or do they just think enlisted men are children? What are conservatives worried about all the children on military bases now? These hateful bigots have no place in civilized society. More bigotry will surely help recruit young people lol. The military has lost its luster with rampant white supremacy and sexual violence. Remind me in 6 months when enlistment drops even further. Republicans are so toxic nobody wants to be around them anymore People actually vote for the Fun Police lol and they are proud of that and hang banners on their homes and shit I mean, they do know that if they don’t want to see a drag show they can just…not go, right? No need to cancel the entire thing. We had a drag show scheduled at the Ramstein Brit Bar this month, and the bar was told it had to be cancelled due to this. Really disappointed, especially considering the tradition of drag in the military Republicans are a joke. You should see the conditions on some of these bases then wonders why they are fixated on drag shows rather than treating our soldiers with dignity and respect. I had never seen any photos of my paternal grandpa (who died years before I was born) growing up. After my dad died we went through the photo albums in the attic that he always said we’d go through one day but just never got around to it. The very first photo I found of my grandfather was from a drag show I asked my aunt about it and learned of the military tradition and apparently it was popular enough that even when he was out, he was part of an organization that used drag shows as a fundraiser and always participated for the sheer fun of it.
