There were people in downtown Atlanta lining the Happy Birthday San Francisco 49ers Brock Purdy The Best Qb In The Nfl shirt besides I will buy this streets cheering when Trump was booked and on his way to the courthouse. What the dems tried to pull with these trials backfired. It made him instantly relatable as someone mistreated by law enforcement and the courts, as many of them have been through their lives. I’m not convinced he is doing so well. I understand why you would ask that question. His cult like followers are very vocal; however, I believe there is a silent majority out there who vehemently oppose Trump and will turn out to vote. Remember he has already lost once to Joe Biden not sure why Trump thinks the second time around will be any different. If by some chance Trump is elected as President it will be a very dark day for the U.S. and the world will be a much more dangerous place. I’m a conservative and if the Republicans nominate either Trump or DeSantis I’ll be voting for the other party and that will be a first for me. Sam Harris does a good job of explaining this phenomenon, I think. You can listen to a podcast called “The Key to Trump’s appeal” (transcript of excerpt in link) where he presets his “fat Jesus” analysis, for example.

Trump is a vile tool wielded by resentful people who feel absolved of their own shortcomings through his flaws. The US is filled with dumb-fuck white people who have bought in. At this point, they might realize they have been conned, but can’t admit it. They are afraid of everything. DT stokes their fears. Despite being a corrupt clown, he’s talking about issues no one else will. He’s still no solution but people flock to him. Trump has more support from more people than the Happy Birthday San Francisco 49ers Brock Purdy The Best Qb In The Nfl shirt besides I will buy this American mainstream media reports…this includes supports from moderates who really don’t like left-leaning policies. His main (only, really) opponent is Biden, a man who accomplished near to none of his campaign promises, he’s still building that wall he criticized so much, investing millions on ICE, Roe v. Wade got overturned under his presidency and now he is spending billions upon billions on foreign wars, while middle class Americans are struggling living paycheck to paycheck because of inflation. So, basically, Trump has blind supporters who’ll vote for him no matter what and Biden had people who voted for him that one time because he was not Trump, but then he failed at being “not-Trump”, he actually did a lot o “Trump-lite” things. I think “he’s doing so well” is misrepresentation by the conservative media. The off cycle elections this week heavily favored the Democratic Party. If you look at the fact he never won the popular vote and has many legal problems in the pipeline, I wouldn’t say he’s doing well, no matter how loud and obnoxious his support are. That being said, the popularity he does have is concerning. It’s called the “Southern Strategy” in American politics. It basically polarizes politics into ethnic groups. It has effectively made the two party system into a white/black issue and alienated the working class.
