The police aren’t there to protect you, they’re there to enforce the Halloween Boho Boo Rainbow Cute Ghosts Spooky Pumpkins T-Shirt moreover I will buy this law. Apparently by beating the shit out of you. Not true. Police don’t know laws. They’re there to arrest and convict. Plain and simple. The courts have even ruled police can lie to you and do not have a duty to protect citizens. Police don’t know the laws. They are there to protect capitalist interests that align with their own morality (or lack thereof). They’re incredibly undereducated on actual law, and they’re given nearly 100% discretion when it comes to deciding whether to even arrest somebody. Police in India gangraped a women who went to file a complain about being raped. And this is not even the first incident of its kind. Some people are just filthy animals in human skin and you give them authority via making them a part of the police force and you will see the worst of what humans will do. You don’t think it’s saying something when you have to compare Nigeria and US on shitty treatment? Also, civil asset forfeiture is a thing and you’re, usually, fucked even if you’re innocent. Police in the USA will rob you too. It’s called civil asset forfeiture. Even if you don’t get convicted, they will keep whatever they took. I worked with a dude from Iraq who said if the cops stopped you that you could easily expect that you’d be beaten within an inch of your life, get robbed and then tossed 10 miles into the desert with a blindfold on

It isn’t a fucking contest. I mean, who the Halloween Boho Boo Rainbow Cute Ghosts Spooky Pumpkins T-Shirt moreover I will buy this fuck placates and dismissed something because someone has it worse somewhere else? That’s like telling a rape victim to shup up because they weren’t murdered. I mean.. the police in America also rob. It’s called ‘civil forfeiture’, the government can seize your money if they believe it is linked to a crime even if you’re not arrested or tried for a crime. That comparison. Like… Self proclaimed greatest country in the world has a police force slightly worse than Nigeria. We were all taught that police were heroes when we were young and naive. Once we know that they are vile humans is when the blindfold comes off. People who don’t trust the police have seen evidence confirming that police are terrible people. People who make excuses for this behavior are covering their ears going “lalalala”
