I was abused my entire life. I’m 23 now and haven’t seen my father (who abused me) in ages and I am far too damaged to attempt having a kid. Not only this, but between the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this facts that I don’t want to at all, the insane expenses, the lack of free time, and that I can barely even take care of myself, I’m never having a kid. Soon as I’m able, I am getting a vasectomy. I am severely disabled and will 100% pass that down onto a child. I don’t want this for anyone. Adoption is also not an option, since the disability is very present in my day to day life and a kid would not be happy being around that all the time. I will have bad days, I will be in pain, I will take lots of medication and have many doctor visits. I can’t imagine how much trauma that could cause a kid. I just didn’t want kids. I never had any interest in playing with baby dolls when I was a kid and the thought of having an actual baby to care for never appealed to me. I’m 53 and have gotten to spend my free time focusing on various arts and crafts, taking non child-friendly vacations, and doing whatever I want whenever I want. I would have been a terrible mother.
Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt: Get Cozy in this shirt
I spent much of my childhood/early adult life being forced to care for my little sister because my folks saw me as an errand boy for their “star child.” That, and at many parties, people would dump their kids on me to watch them while they did whatever. I already had tons of pieces of “fatherhood” forced on me. I don’t need to add crippling financial and legal obligations too. I’m not going to pretend it’s something highly moral or the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this environment, overpopulation or whatever… I simply don’t like kids and value my free time A LOT. Being childfree means i can work less, which leaves me with more time to do what i really want – to climb mountains, rocks and work out. If I ever make enough, I’ll travel. I wanna travel. I eventually want to fix up a van to travel in too. I would never wanna drag around kids with me like that. That’s not the main reason I don’t wanna have kids, but I definitely don’t think my dream lifestyle suits kids Around 35 they realize kind of that you weren’t so bad and they cone by for thanksgiving wi thought being forced. I simply do not want them. I shall spend my time doing whatever I want, whenever I want (as time and money allows). The choice has been taken from me. I grew up in a severely dysfunctional family and has never been able to form any type of relationship. In hindsight that was a good thing.
Environmental impact, total cost, “the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this mommy track” impact on my career and financial independence, survivor of childhood abuse, miserable friends who have children, avoiding constant burden of responsibility, the way medical professionals and men in general see women as a means to an end, the draft: the list is long. Btw, I’m a newly retired (a bit early) boomer. The childfree life has been good for me. My closest friends are also CF. Ran out of time. I bounced around jobs in Canada and Asia until mid 30’s. Living internationally I never felt it was responsible for me to have a kid without stability. I am now mid 40’s . No social safety net outside my home country. Now I have been stable 10+ years internationally, paper millionaire, my missis is 8 years younger, and has a great job, there might be a chance.

About this Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt
For me its was purely a financial/ responsibility decision. – but even she is having second thoughts. Maybe better I help my nephews and nieces, and she does the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this same with her nephews and nieces. I’ve never wanted to be anyone’s mom. Whatever drive there is in people to reproduce and raise kids, I just don’t have it in me. I’m fortunate that between my brother and my in-laws, I have a small gaggle of nieces and nephews. I love them all dearly, and being an aunt to them is a joy. My wife and I are an extra part of their emotional and material support system, and the way the world is going, the next generation is going to need all the support we can give them. I’m 29 and I am not ready to be a father. I do in the future for sure. I have to figure out my shit both professionally and internally. I don’t want any of my baggage falling onto my spouse or children. Horrible trait when people become parents but still carry the same traits as they did in their teens some people never grow up or they have kids because they don’t want to be “old parents” but then resent those kids later. No way in hell. My parents were both teens when I was born. No repeats in my life.
I’ve got nothing but time to figure it all out. Society will not rush me nor will I rush myself. The world sucks but it doesn’t have to all the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this time. I have adult children. May never become a grandparent though. 1 doesn’t want any children and 1 may, or may not. Either way, it’s not my call. I would love to have a grandchild but I won’t mourn it not happening. No one should ever be under any stress to reproduce. It’s no one else’s business except those who would be the parents. My child who doesn’t want children deserves to live their life the way they believe to be best for them. I do think they don’t fully grasp the joy in watching your child grow up but they have their mind made up. And that’s OK. Once they are happy, healthy and enjoying the life they have.
Myself and my wife just never wanted them. It enabled us to travel and focus on careers and get a house and things that we may not have been able to in the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this current world. If it had happened by accident it would have been fine but it never did and that’s fine too. I have never once regretted not having children not even for a second. We play video games together, go out on dates and watch trash TV. We also do chores, laundry and make dinner together too! I am not ready to give up my social life and the major part of responsibility like feeding falls on the woman and that is why I am not ready for it … Also I feel I am comfortable with my husband we love travelling , watching ott and spending time with each other and we are married for 9 years and we have recently got a kitten and it’s good and easy My kids say they are too selfish for children….I can accept that. They like the freedom of just picking up and doing anything and going anywhere. Now that we are empty nesters, it does feel good not to have that responsibility. I do like to reminisce with them on the things we did and the fun times but it was WORK!!
Wifes a nutbar. I’d be a great dad but nah. We’re not financially stable and I’m too unsure of where the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this world is going. I don’t want to bring another life/s into this world for it to go to shit and they have to suffer our mistakes. I’ve seen too many of my mates have unplanned kids and holy shit, just wear a fucking condom, take a pill, anything. It’s not worth possibly ruining another life which had no choice. I never had a genuine desire to want to bring another human into this world and dedicate my time to raising them, watching them grow from tiny human beings to big ones, and everything that it involves. I feel neutral about it at best, and anxious and suffocated at worst. I think if you have kids, wanting all of this is the bare minimum. Then there’s the fact I already don’t have a lot of extra money. I could not afford a child even if I wanted one. There’s no extra money for me to spend.
And as a cherry on top, I have no faith that the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this world will be worth living in for future generations. With how things are now, I would not want to bring another human into this world and put them through the shitshow that our civilization is right now. I haven’t decided not to have kids, I have no kids now and I don’t feel I need to have kids, but if my future partner really wants kids I am not against it but if I’m single and have zero children when I die I am satisfied with that. I like travelling and I like my personal time, couldn’t see myself ever living with someone else. I’m 30 now and don’t think it will change in the next 5 years but who knows what will happen in 10 I don’t like kids. Especially teenagers. Married a woman who felt the same. Done!! Why would you even consider bringing a kid into this fucked up world!! Born male, might turn girl etc etc etc. Fuck that.
Because the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this world as it is now is too hostile for any new life. People become more radicalized, the world is basically about to burn and the society we live in has never been so cruel. I just find the thought of setting a child in this world just to watch him suffer through and knowing he’ll one day die anyways very unfulfilling. So why bother? I know it’s a very nihilistic thought but I can’t help myself thinking of this matter any other way. As for how I’ll spend my time. Idk really. I guess I’ll try to be one of the people who try to fix the earth. I’ll spend time with my loved ones for as long as they live. Never had them, never wanted them, and I’m 54 now with no regrets. I worked hard, played hard and retired early. When I am old and need care, I will go to assisted living and try to have buddies until I die. Seems good enough to me. My motto for this is “the bloodline ends with me”. I’m already f—ed up as it is and just the idea of having another person go through the same cycle doesn’t sit well with me. Also not in this economy lmao. I’ll just invest on my own happiness and a good retirement home
Son, police officer, 30: “we don’t want them”. Daughter, studying psychology, 26: “I’m too selfish. I like my own company so I don’t want them.” Daughter, tattoo artist, 23: “ewwwwww!” Son, cat lover, 19: “I’m autistic and I can barely tolerate me. Sod having kids too!” Entirely up to them. One couple loves their bikes and backpacking. One is studying and wants to go see the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this world. One couple doesn’t want to. One is autistic/bipolar/ADHD and doesn’t want to pass it on. And quite frankly…I’d probably be a terrible grandparent because I don’t like kids until I can actually have a conversation with them. For some, they’d be almost adults at that point. 1, I just don’t generally like kids. I have OCD and would absolutely go insane at the messes and the noise and the lack of sleep. I also am a germaphobe and would not want to care for sick children or have them constantly bringing germs into the house from daycare or school.
2, Money is of course an issue. Especially with inflation where it is right now, and other times in the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this future, I don’t want to have to financially support having child(ren). I like my hard earned money and want to use it for things that I like. Trips, vacations, date nights, etc. 3. As someone else mentioned- generational trauma. This is probably the most important reason. I think it’s incredibly selfish to bring humans into this world unless you are a very well-rounded individual yourself. I think every person needs to go to therapy, and this especially stands if you are to have children in my opinion. There are WAY too many parents who should not be parents. Narcissism, substance problems, abuse (verbal, physical, psychological- they are all bad and will stick with the child for the rest of their lives). So unless you have resolved your own childhood or other trauma, I don’t think you should be a parent. The cycle just continues and gets passed down to each and every generation.
4. Free time. I like being able to do what I want, when I want, and not having to be bogged down by having a child. But why should I? I’m not willing to make the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this sacrifices that children require. I want to have a career, and expensive hobbies, and travel without my life revolving around responsibility to another living being. My choice is selfish and I accept that. And I respect the selfless choice of those who choose to be parents because they really want to, and can really do a good job. I have heard many reasons why people don’t want kids . health issues , traumatized from their parents , enjoy life, fear etc . unfortunately, whatever I can share with you , I cannot convey the feeling you feel when you meet your baby for the first time or when it smiles when you are holding it or the smell or the joy when it does something for the first time .
I’m 32 soon and I don’t have the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this money to freeze my eggs. I have a strong feeling that by the time I find the one, and also be financially set to have children, it’ll be too late. You never know whether you’ll be a good parent or not until it happens. Alot of people say they won’t be or won’t try. Once the baby comes, you will finally know you love someone more than you love yourself. Sure its alot of sacrifice, its never going to be easy, but for me it was worth it and still is You can look at what it takes to be a good parent and decide if it’s for you or not. I don’t think it’s worth potentially messing up your own life and then a child’s life simply because you wanted to see if you’d be a good parent. It’s not fair to that child. There’s lots of people who shouldn’t have had kids and now those kids are abused or neglected or worse. It’s not worth that risk. I don’t know if I should comment here but I will anyway just in case someone has experienced something similar.
I never wanted children. For my first 21 years of life I was adamant I didn’t want them. I was active in childfree groups and when I met my bf I told him before our first date that if he EVER wanted kids, he should leave now. He was also childfree so it worked out great. My main reason was that I grew up with a stay at home mom, but not in the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this good way. She would stay at home and nap all day, didn’t cook for us, never packed lunches (ever), and overall barely parented us. There was no reason for her to say she was a stay at home mom. She was a stay at home wife who happened to pop out a few kids. I saw how that affected my dad too, and I never wanted to be like that. I didn’t want to have my dad’s role specifically. He worked all day long and came home to a messy house and no help with food. He’s the one who made my dinner every night. My main worry with kids was being left with 90% of the work, and my partner getting my mothers role of doing nothing. When my bf (fiance now) and I moved in together, I felt a weird shift. I didn’t want kids, but I didn’t feel fear and loneliness when I looked at them, I just saw kids. My partner worked from home and it was shocking how much he cooked and cleaned even though he still worked. We were doing lunches and supper every other day and going off and on with cleans as well.
Over time, having a partner that cares for our pets needs and my needs as equally as I did made my worries go away. Kids were just kids, and I saw them in a different positive light. His main concern with kids was not being a good father, a concern that went away after caring for our pets and realizing how great of a dad he could be. We decided a few years ago that we’d have one kid eventually. I know people who are childfree who will never change, and that’s 1000% normal and okay. I also know childfree people who changed their minds after finding the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this right partner. Happy that it worked out for you in the end. I doubt that will be the case for me, but apreciate you sharing nontheless. 🫶 Childfree has so many perks, I don’t blame you one bit. Honestly I think it’s a very selfless and brave decision too.
Yes agree with it. Undoubteably many perks. In certain cultures it is a brave thing to do. I wouldnt necessarily say i am in one like that, but i definitly still receeved very negative things for it… But nowadays that goes both ways i think. I’m sorry you received anything negative for it. Knowing you won’t be a good parent, and choosing to be childfree for the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this sake of your hypothetical children and their happiness, is very brave. I come from a very “childcentric “ culture and was heavily judged for not wanting them too. Until I met my husband, I didn’t think I would ever want to be a mother. So up until we started our own family, I “invested” a lot in my goddaughter. I paid for her horse back-riding lessons, brought her shopping for new clothes and school supplies at the beginning of the school year, spent a weekend together every other month and went to arcades and the movies and game night at my friends. When she turned 15, we went on a trip together (she paid her airfare and I provided the rest). She is turning 17 soon and she is becoming just the most extraordinary person. I loved spending all that time with her and watching her grow up. I saw her last during the Christmas holiday and she pulled me aside and thanked me for everything. I’ll spare the sappy details but basically she recognized that the time we spent together had a massive positive impact on her life since things at home weren’t always easy. I have a 1 yo daughter now and I’m hoping that whoever will be her godmother will also show a personal interest in my kid’s future.
My reason is that I don’t want a wife. I would otherwise love to raise a son and daughter on my own. But I am not willing to take the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this risk of intertwining my life with a woman’s. The justice system, police force, social-structure, and our employers all favor the woman in any domestic dispute. I’ve seen it happen to many men in my life. It won’t happen to me because I chose not to play the game. I think what most people don’t understand is that once you have children, biological changes happen within your body that increase your ability to parent. Obviously, this doesn’t happen at an equal level to everyone, and there are other age related factors, etc, but it is well researched and definitely true. If people decide they don’t want kids, fair enough, but I’ve never met someone who had children and then wished they hadn’t.
I felt nothing for my children until the Haliburton and Mathurin NBA Jam shirt and I love this day they were born, and almost immediately, the strongest bond imaginable was formed the second I held them in my arms. Oddly enough, even knowing this would happen after the first child, it was still kind of a suprise again for the second. Sooo much ignorance in one comment. Happy for your positive experience OP but your experience is not universal. And the idea that every woman feels bonding when they hold their baby isn’t true and you could even easily Google that. Messages like yours just add to the shame and confusion those women feel For some women these ‘hormonal changes’ lead to severe pre or post partum anxiety or depression. It’s not like sunshine pours down. Your body gets flooded with hormones and bodies handle that differently.
