If they weren’t sure you could do the Gump Lt.Dan 2024 He’s not A Smart Man Shirt in addition I really love this work, they wouldn’t give it to you. Get this in writing if you say yes. But please read about everyone who had this happen who did not get more pay. They’re just trying to squeeze more labor out of you for free. They are pocketing your boss’s paycheck, and lowering your paycheck by increasing your responsibilities without pay increase. I don’t go into a car dealership and tell them “hey, I want to make sure this is the right fit for me first. I’ll drive it off the lot for a few months, and once I’m “comfortable” with it, I’ll sign the paperwork and pay you” The world has gone bonkers. In no other situation in life are you able to get goods, services, or labor for free while you “test it out”. GTFOH.

They’ll dangle the Gump Lt.Dan 2024 He’s not A Smart Man Shirt in addition I really love this carrot in front of you to get you to do the work, but eventually that carrot is going to rot and fall off the line. We all collectively need to stand up for ourselves against these blood-sucking corporations. Get everything in writing – no compromise on this. Also when you get it in writing get create timeline and money numbers defined. Well, if they decide they don’t like you in the role they can always take you out of it again, which presumably would come with the pay going away too. They’re just trying to get you to do the higher level work without the higher level pay or benefits for a while. You need to decide if that’s a position you want enough that you won’t risk it by putting your foot down. In all likelihood this “Trial period” is going to last far too long, and then they’ll either lowball you with the raise offer anyway, or flat out replace you once they find whoever they actually want.
