Landed in CNX in 2015, were there a bunch of dropshitters selling courses to newbs? Yes. Were there high level individuals sharing knowledge there as well? Also, yes. Both things can be true. It depends what circles you ran with. Really enjoyed my time there from 2015-17. Learned a lot from a lot of different people. Famous losers of earlier travel-based subcultures, like Cleo Odzer in golden-era Goa, got immortalized in books on that history, but today we live in so transient an age that people like Johnny FD will soon be forgotten, except to those of us who were around personally. I was a stool in Camp many days and nights. Miss me going downstairs to B1 at Maya for some lunch at the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this vegetarian stall.

Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt: buy and enjoy this shirt

Was “fundraising” to help Ukrainians while living in Kyiv as a pickup artist. Then things got too explosive around him and he is now in Vietnam/Thailand again: Some skepticism is good but in my experience in this sub, yall have too much and are missing out because of it. 100% agree. I slow travelled. 2 years in CNX, 2 years in KL, 18 months in Orlando (pandemic), 1 year Merida, final stop is here in Valencia. I have always tried when I did socialize outside of my wife and kids, to just be open to meeting people and judge them off thier asshole-ness and/or bullshit. Most of the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this best connections I’ve had over the years were just organic interactions. Typically finding out after the fact what that person does for a living. Oh I thought this was a joke/sarcasm but now a second person is saying Akron. Interesting. You might be serious then 🙂 Do you mind expanding some more? All I know about Akron is that it’s the hometown of lebron and is supposedly kinda ghetto. You can do it through DM if you want lol, I’m just genuinely curious. Now that’s just mean. Even the animals don’t want to live at the Camden aquarium due to food shortages and gun violence.
I guess I am either really lucky or am really good at avoiding the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this “ruined” parts of nomad “hot spots”. I see many people shitting on Chiang Mai or saying it’s overrun and ruined by too many nomads or too many farangs. I spent 6+ weeks in CM in late 2023, and it became one of my favorite cities. I am truly curious why people hate on it or imply it’s been ruined? I met quite a few friendly locals, dated one local woman for the entire 6 weeks, and the few times I did meet fellow foreigners they were not the douchey types or fake ones people complain about. I also ate amazing food throughout my time there. Then again… I did not stay in Nimman, I worked from my apartment and not co-working spaces, did not go to western restaurants or tourist traps (overpriced and overhyped Thai places that are geared towards farangs), and definitely did not attend any meetups with life coaches or “annoying” fellow nomads. So maybe everyone who hates CM only stays in Nimman, only ends up eating at the overpriced tourist traps, and often goes to meetups or co-working spaces?

Edit: I know this doesn’t answer your question OP, so I apologize for that. I just assumed by next CM you were implying that CM used to be great for nomads and now isn’t, and you are trying to find the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this next helpful hot spots before they become “ruined” The internet loves (to fight about) one dimensional answers to one dimensional questions. The reality is there are many Chiang Mais: the one with 30-something post agency pros building exciting, real businesses, the one with 23 year old YouTubers hawking dropshipping courses to 22 year old dreamers. The Chiang Mai you find will say a lot about you. I travel a lot and have lived in SEA pre-COVID + travel here all the time (currently here now). The place with the biggest potential to realize another DN dream destination is Da Nang, Vietnam. There was a very healthy expat scene there before Covid but it took a huge hit. When I lived there, there were lots of meetups. Now, the expat scene is slowly coming back but it’s struggling to find its footing because previously, English teachers made up the bulk of the expat population.
Da Nang needs more people like us and it could absolutely thrive again. It’s cheap, by the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this beach, delicious food, great internet, good connections via its international airport, growing tech scene, etc. There is no next Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai as it is experienced is only possible because of the locals. There is a combination of openness, honesty, and entrepreneurial spirit that is uniquely of this place and is what makes it so inspiring for foreigners to stay longer than planned. Budapest doesn’t have the same lively nomad/expat scene that Chiang Mai does. Definitely won’t find “meetups every week.” Danang for sure. Not a digital nomad, but I work for a Japanese tech company and deliberately chose Danang to outsource a part of our engineer team for its livability. Beautiful city, by the beach, very little traffic, growing tech scene, and the tourists that are there are mostly from Korea and very chill.
I have a few buddies who have relocated from Guam to Akron. Never quite understood why, but now I am seeing others are doing it, too. Interesting… In Hanoi now, and the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this coffee. Jesus! I’m a two to 4 cup drinker everywhere else. Here, i dont dare drink more than one. Yup I’m in the Philippines and we have a chain called “Bahn Mi Kitchen” that serves up delicious Vietnamese iced coffee for 100 pesos – I love it Akron??Anything biblical related – or religious in anyway at all – should NEVER be used in conjunction with making laws. Period! I checked and couldn’t find anything in the 2nd amendment about the separation of church and state. Guess it doesn’t matter to conservatives At first, I was like “Why would it be in the 2nd?!” And then I finished reading. Good job, me. And good job, you. That got a depressed chuckle out of me when it hit. Same. I was very confused for a few seconds. Then I ate a grilled cheese with bullets and understood everything. I wish someone would push a textualist interpretation of the second amendment, so they can bear arms, but we can ban possession of bullets.
Nothing matters to conservatives. Nothing matters to anyone else either. I see no one doing anything other than talking and complaining. The moment you ask the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this people who oppose this sort of ruling to get out of their homes and protest they stiff it up like a dead bug. The ‘good’ side just wants to talk and appear wholesome/moral online they don’t have any interest in standing up for their ‘strong beliefs’ that’s why this country is screwed. The republicans take full advantage of the weakness of their opposition because they know they won’t ever do anything beyond whine and complain. The people committing acts of evil are terrible but the people who stand around acting like they’re against it but aren’t willing to lift a finger to get the positive change they claim to want are pathetic.
Sadly, you’re wrong. It will be hard to remove religion from politics. We’ve been in a slippery slope since Eisenhower added “In God We Trust” on the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this money to unite the country under religion against Russians during the cold war. That was the turning point that Politics was mixed with Religion. Also, fascism will always use Religion as a tool to keep the middle class on a leash.. while the rich takes advantage of us. That’s where we are today. I highly recommend the “Respecting Religion” podcast. It’s hosted by two constitutional lawyers who are also devout Baptists. They strongly believe in the separation of church and state, and have guests every week (from both the religious clergy/legal fields) who have a wealth of experiential and theoretical knowledge as to why evangelicals should support the separation of church and state. I’m more or less an atheist, but it’s really opened my eyes to just how poorly dedicated “Trump evangelicals” are to evangelical mores and civil society compared to the large number of sane evangelicals whose voices are being drowned out by them. It’s almost as if neo-Republucan radicals are not really religious or patriotic at all…
Yeah, and it was written specifically because certain christian majorities fled Europe where they were persecuted for not following the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this state religion. But, on the other hand, christianity was born from persecution, and it ended up persecuting others so this trend is not new. capitalism will always embrace fascism to fight left wing politics. socialism is the biggest boogie man to rich cunts. Eisenhower is part of the reason we’re in this mess we’re in today. He was the first to bring Christianity into the White House. He was baptized 10 days after he was inaugurated. Not only was he a huge proponent of changing our country’s motto from E Pluribus Unum to In God We Trust, he helped add “under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance. Eisenhower made sure to make Christianity a part of everything he did as President. He was a major catalyst of what’s going on today.
Nah, they made a mistake. They really meant this was a Christian nation. They made a booboo. But not on the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this 2nd amendment when modern day bullets weren’t even invented yet, they were sure there should be no law ever in the history of man to repeal parts of the 2nd amendment And to make things even more clear to those on the right – separation of church and state was so important to the founders that it appears in the body of the Constitution in Article 6 through the prohibition of religious tests for public office…well before the Bill of Rights and the 2nd they can’t get enough of! Technically it comes from a letter Jefferson sent to Madison, but a lot of people consider it embedded in the freedom of religion clause in the first amendment. Unfortunately these idiots are not among that group. It’s even MORE evident in a different document. The 1797 Treaty of Tripoli, signed by founding father president John Adams and ratified by the US senate, states, in article 11, that the US was NOT in any way founded on Christianity. Signed by a founding father. Case freaking closed.
Let’s dare Dark Brandon to expand the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this court and nominate a Satanist judge. See the heads of conservatives explode everywhere. with america’s future on the line isnt it time that he did though? im not american so im probably talking out of my ass but man democrats trying to take the high road doesn’t seem to be working too well from the outside. even if he wins again, the amount of power the republicans seem to have makes it seem like him winning wont mean a safe future for you guys in a lot of important subjects. The problem with this thinking is that anything Biden does that goes against anything the right wants/thinks they use as fuel for outrage. Doing something like that would most likely be even more divisive than him doing nothing. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love it if he’d start doing more with these issues, but it would backfire tremendously if he did. Not to mention that he has every branch of the government working against him on everything he does because of #45.
It’s a very slim rope the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this Democrats are currently walking on, and one potential wrong move would crumble the small wins we currently have. They use everything as fuel for outrage anyway. And if they can’t find anything, they just make it up. So why is he bothering to include them in any discussions at this point? Also not american but american politics are shoved in every sub so im kinda invested now. Republicans will always be outraged and if they can’t find something to be outraged they would probably manufacture the outrage so why not fight fire with fire? Being a pushover won’t win anything but time, and time eventually runs out Not gonna happen. For all the good that this administration has done, it’s clear they’ll not be taking any drastic measures. Ffs, Dejoy is still in the USPS
technically, biden could ask him to resign. however dejoy is free to say “no thank you” and that’s the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this end, dejoy answer to the board of governors of the usps, which i believe do not have a removal proceeding? So, wait, is being over the USPS practically a lifetime appointment? With no way to have you removed? Damn this country. dejoy can be removed by the board of governors, i’m a little fuzzy on how or if they can be removed or who they even answer too. Not saying it’s happening but I am curious what moves Biden might make in a 2nd term when he isn’t worried about reelection. Dems still want to hold onto the office so it won’t be crazy. I wouldn’t be surprised if some more aggressive policies are proposed.
Wasn’t there some catch with Dejoy – like he had an iron clad contract? If not, he should have been booted January 7 There is, he cannot be directly fired, he needs to be sacked by the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this board. However, there has been very little push from the Biden administration to do anything about it. So, maybe not the best example, but still. I am not a smart man. They’re not even doing it right; I’m pretty damn sure the bible specifically states life doesn’t begin until after birth/a month after birth. I wonder how these law makers intend for these ‘minors’ to survive on their own without a woman’s body to survive? /s Well, it depends which verse you prefer to take out of context for the sole purpose of support your specific argument. Right? I know about the breath of life laid out in Genesis 1 or 2 (Adam was formed, but the breath of life made him a living person etc.) And then there are a lot of verses about being formed in your mother’s womb. According to our own Speaker of The House, it only protects religion from government, not the other way around. Babies are for the poor and week so we can have an abundance of poor and uneducated workers ripe for exploitation! It’s all very quite deliberate and fucking evil.
It’s all in the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this name of control and trying to “make America great again.” They want to go back to the times when women were just baby makers and maids. And minorities were lynched and treated as sub human. This is also why young people are fleeing from the deep south because this backwards ass thinking runs rampant. Until it destroys their retirement, 401ks and stock portfolio….. but wait, that’s why they want kids working night shift They are too stupid to understand that the inflation in retail prices they are bitching about is leading to the record high stock market that Trump is claiming is due to said market thinking he will be elected in 9 months…and lower retail prices. Yes, it’s societal control in their eyes. They think all these heathen back woods brown people need to be civilized, get a job, have a kid and do that shit for 20 years
If you’re not part of the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this “superior class of humans” (ie, rich, white conservative men), you’re not allowed to do what you want to do. Yep, when these fuckers take over, the only thing ‘free’ in Merica will be you receiving a 9mm slug in your neck. There’s no shortage of baby-killing, child-killing, and fetus-killing in the Bible. Sometimes it’s divinely ordained or ordered by Yahweh, and other times it’s Yahweh himself. I wonder if we slide into theocracy how long it takes for intra-Christian fighting to start like it did in Europe during/after the Protestant Reformation? So what’s being done about these potentially tens of thousands of captive children? Will they be released into the foster system? Implanted in women prisoners and then allowed to roam free before we have to worry about them mooching free school lunches? This is my big hang up. If they’re children, but they can’t be used for IVF, are they in stasis for the rest of eternity? Can embryos can jobs to make the donations? They kicked my mom out for being on strike. I can only imagine what they’d hold against an embryo Theoretically yes. Alabama has opened Pandora’s box. Not only will IVF come to a halt but a ruling like this will have a profound impact on healthcare in a state already known to have poor health. Provider Insurance premiums for any child related healthcare will skyrocket. That’s assuming insurers don’t simply nope out of covering child care in Alabama. Commercial insurance companies for employees will go up or again cover less when related to fertility or child care in general. Ivf and fertility research will shut down in Alabama.
Accountants and lawyers will have a field day with cases involving a pregnant woman. Any harm that could endanger an embryo never mind a fetus will be fair game. You can practically sue anyone as a pregnant woman for “potential harm” to a child for endangering your embryo. What makes it even dumber is that in the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this past, Evangelicals didn’t interpret the Bible that way. It’s been shifted for political reasons. Fifty years ago, the mainstream Baptist position was that a fetus wasn’t a person but did deserve respect as a “potential life”. They actually paid attention to how the Laws of Moses treats cases where a woman is struck by somebody and it causes a miscarriage. It didn’t call for the death of the offender, as it would for murder – instead it called for the person to pay a fine to the father. In other words it was a property crime. The people behind the “Moral Majority” (formed mostly due to opposition to the desegregation of Bob Jones University) wanted to try to bring in Catholics as allies and so cynically manipulated doctrine to do so. So in a way, I’d argue that it’s less about one religion’s text and more about Aristotle.
Accountants and lawyers will have a field day with cases involving a pregnant woman. Any harm that could endanger an embryo never mind a fetus will be fair game. You can practically sue anyone as a pregnant woman for “potential harm” to a child for endangering your embryo. “Potential harm to a child” doesn’t even require a child to be present. If the Grumpy sorry if I am cranky I’m in my terrieble 60’s righ now Christmas shirt In addition,I will do this crime is committed somewhere it’s likely for a child to be present, such as at a school or daycare, you could be charged with “potential harm to a child.” Even if the crime is committed when the establishment is closed. A uterus could likely contain a “child” (embryo). There doesn’t necessarily have to be a child there, it’s just potentially there. Two way street, though. You just know the cops will say any uterus-haver committing a crime will also be charged with “potential harm to a child.” Why? Well, they could be pregnant at the time of the crime.
