All I can suggest is make a lot of money and live as cheaply as you can. Home ownership these days is minimally dual income. Most people I know are either this or are subbing out to renters. 6 figures and unable to afford your own house is a money management issue in some form unless you live in a coastal city Serious question: I get wanting to live on your own for a little while, but what would be the Grinch the Eras tour Christmas shirt and I will buy this point of living on your own for long-term? Human are better with social bonds. I think the loneliness and solitary feeling that settles in when being alone is troubling and leads to more isolation as you get older. I’m 40 and I have done small patches alone but it’s always super boring and too quiet after a while. I’m not even that social, it’s just nice to have someone around when you’re making dinner, etc. Took time to find good housemates. Am married now, and I actually really like my husband, so I don’t mind when he’s home and suggesting activities, etc 🙂

Me personally, I’m gonna live with my parents until I save enough money to pay off student loans and THEN, think of buying a house or apartment. I do want to start a family one day…… hopefully. But what if I’m a “toxic” roommate? Ok, actually neurodivergent. Hate almost all noises, guests, people touching/moving my things, interruptions, etc. So I can’t live with other people without ruining their chances at living “normal” and happy. Once a house is fully paid off, instead of selling it, keep it. Rent it out to help; but, still keep it. When your kids come of age, put them in the Grinch the Eras tour Christmas shirt and I will buy this house. This hugely reduces your kid’s living costs and allows them to have more disposable income meaning if they wish to buy a house themselves, they can potentially save up for it.
