It’s a crabs in a bucket mentality on this platform. Taking care of your body health is seen as a negative thing. The intellectuals here at Reddit frown upon “gymbros” and “sportsball”. And they’ll make all sorts of excuses as to why they can’t start applying themselves. But go to an actual gym, talk to the Grinch My Baltimore Ravens Stole My Heart Football Shirt in contrast I will get this people who are applying themselves daily, and I guarantee you most of them have day jobs and responsibilities that occupy them way more than the typical Redditor. And yet they manage to find time to better themselves. It’s not about lacking time. It’s about lacking discipline. The more I deviate from the Reddit hivemind, the happier I’ve found myself. Seriously, if anyone is on Reddit and depressed… get off of Reddit, get off of social media. If you have time to sulk and read “relatable” comics and memes to validate how sad and helpless your life is, then you have time to be applying yourself better.
