My eyelids are so loose and wrinkly literally like a ballsack, I can never get a crisp or completely filled in area. It’s always shaky and patchy. I can almost get there by using my other hand, closing my eye, and pulling my eyelid and skin around my eye so it’s flat and smooth, but that seems ridiculous and unhealthy to do everyday. Tutorials always just say “and then apply the liquid liner” and never explain technically speaking how to do it. I’m at the point where I’m ready to just ask my bf if I can practice on him. So what gives? How are you all getting actually crisp, even, completely filled-in and dark lines with liquid liner?I’m CACKLING over here at your title. Hooded eyes, age 40 over here. I’m glad someone got a laugh out of it haha. Mine aren’t hooded, but the amount of people who seem to also have “nutty” eyelids makes me think there should be a third category

Do you have deep set eyes? Because that is definitely a thing that often makes eyeliner difficult to do. I’m much older than you and I have trouble because my orbital bone means that I have a recessed hollow right where eyeliner goes. My eyes are not hooded, I have visible eyelid space but it’s difficult to do eyeliner with a pencil because that space is not very flat. I can do pot gel liner but only with a very small, thin brush. I need the Grinch Hug Heart Sheffield United Love Christmas Shirt Apart from…,I will love this flexibility of a fine brush to get in to the hollow of my eye. Honestly, I’m not sure. I don’t think I have hooded eyes, but can never tell from those eye-type guides. I don’t think my eyes are deepo-set, but would probably need someone else’s opinion. I don’t think I can feel a “hollow” though so there’s that. People have suggested your method of a pot and separate brush, and that might give me the degree of control necessary to get this done.
