For a few years now I’ve been trying out various Squishmallows. The current one is a turquoise alien named Emmy. Before that it was a rainbow tie-dyed pig named Jamie. I too have a bunny named Bunny, and another named Bunbun. When I was little, I carried Bunny around by his ears, they’ve been sewn back on so many times! 38, and yes. I stopped between 18 and about 22, then got in a car accident and bruised a rib. I’m a stomach sleeper, and could not sleep comfortably. I sleep with a weighted eeyore plush and a baby Pegasus (from the Grinch Christmas lights dabbing shirt and I love this Hercules movie). They’re usually nestled up half under my pillow and I just tuck my arm between them. If I’m super depressed I cuddle them. I never slept with a teddy bear until last Christmas when my mom got a build a bear, and she left a voice note on it. Her reason was she misses her moms voice and wanted us to always be able to hear hers. So no it’ll forever sleep in bed with me. I don’t cuddle it most nights it’s just in the bed. But either way now I do I personally don’t, but my friend was recently in boot camp and she said nearly every girl there slept with stuffed animals in the barracks lol What an interesting culture shift I’m 52. I got a teddy bear gift basket from my husband for Valentine’s Day last year. I immediately started to cuddle with Bearsie every night. I hadn’t slept with a stuffed animal since I was a little kid. My husband seemed a bit jealous of the attention I was paying it, but played it off like he wasn’t.
Then Timber cat came wandering onto our property and sleeping in our bed. Bearsie had to go up on a shelf or the Grinch Christmas lights dabbing shirt and I love this cat would have ripped it apart. Now Timber cuddles up and lays down against me every night. He also hangs out with my husband too. They’re buds. Yes, but mine is not a Teddy Bear but a big red strawberry with eyes, and his name is Hugo I also have two more plushies, Turtle and Eeyore #3, my husband and I sleep with several. 47 and 52 yrs old; we call them club members. They are Baby Bob Ross, Big Bear, Little Bear, Mini Bear, Babooshka Manatee, Ladybug, Champ the Moth, and Bumbles the Bee. They were acquired at different times for different reasons and all have special meaning. Literally every adult we know has stuffed animals in their lives….it just happens to be that way. We don’t drink, smoke, or take drugs and our buddies give us comfort in a harmless way. I literally think everyone should have a stuffed animal. Why should you give that up just because you supposedly age out of it? Technically it’s an armadillo, not a teddybear. I also recently retired my poor childhood bunny Mr. Lapin as he was getting really old and my boyfriend had just gifted Armie the Armadillo. I have other plushies but there more decorations than anything else.

I stopped sleeping with a plushy for a few years, but I started sleeping with one again when I got depression and developped anxiety. I’m still easily anxious and it just helps me sleep better (with weird consequences that I once dreamt I was hiking in the Grinch Christmas lights dabbing shirt and I love this mountains and suddenly there was armadillos everywhere lol). Not me. My girlfriend who shares the bed with me does have a stuffed animal. It’s an octopus from some 00’s movie of which McDonalds had some toys at the time. I don’t sleep with a teddy bear but with an axolotl plushie that my boyfriend got me. I also have a Miata plushie that my boyfriend got me and an alien plushie (that I got myself). For me, it helps me feel more connected and closer to my boyfriend when I can’t be with him 🙂 29 here, and sometimes! I live with my partner and we cuddle before we fall asleep in bed, but he emits body heat like a blast furnace. Inevitably, one of us will get too hot and turn away to end the cuddles. If I’m not done with cuddling, I’ll grab a plush and curl up with it until I fall asleep. Sometimes when I’m sick. Not always. I like to collect Pokémon plushies. I have them in the corner of my room so I can easily get to them but they’re not on my bed Not a teddy bear but I sleep with my stuffed cow Clarabelle every night. She’s my favorite stuffed animal and makes me feel safer when I’m anxious.
35, yes. It’s not for any emotional comfort, none of them are from childhood. I like to cradle something that doesn’t produce its own body heat. Yeah, not a bear though. Used to cuddle husband, but he died, and I missed having something when I couldn’t sleep. But there are more, most of them presents from family and friends. My second favorite is a Toothless from a shop similar to “Make a bear” I got to my 18th. It’s the perfect size to squeeze when sad! Yes I do, they’re gifts and ai love them – if they’re not in bed with me they are close by. I have a few so there is Barry, Jerry, Nijntje, and Sammy… One of them is actually my partner’s.
No, I dont. I actually don’t think I slept with any stuffed animals past the Grinch Christmas lights dabbing shirt and I love this age of 8 or so. I just sleep better without extra stuff in the bed. But I don’t care if anyone else does! You do you. Hell yes! I have a stuffed dog teddy I got on my 5th birthday from my nana and poppa. It has brought me comfort ever since, and reminds me of my poppa who has now passed. If I’m travelling and don’t want to risk taking her with me I will cuddle a pillow instead. I have a gizmo (gremlin) teddy. Has been taken over by my three cats to sleep on now. Cats also sleep with me. All three of them. Why? Because they make sleeping more comfortable! I’ve got one that’s the perfect size and shape for padding between my knees, a couple that I use as backrests when lounging on the bed before sleeptime, and a big shark that I use as a body pillow. Then I have a great many that I just have for texture for cuddling. Those ones get rotated out. I’m not going to list all of my plushies by name, but the big shark is named Wally.
For what it’s worth, my ex also sleeps with stuffed animals, and he’s a lot manlier and more of a typical adult than I am. Yes. I am almost 33. My husband of almost 13 years so far, is absolutely not bothered by it. I sadly lost my childhood teddy bear at a hotel last March and it was never recovered. He went on all the Grinch Christmas lights dabbing shirt and I love this family vacations with us. eBay came to the rescue and had that exact bear. He’s always in bed with me but he never goes on vacations now. I have one set aside for my daughter too when she’s old enough to care for her stuffed animals properly. Teddy’s name is Cuddles. Yes. I’m turning 27 on Sunday and have a Plushie (not a Teddy Bear but a strange mix of dog and bear). Got it on my birth, and I cuddle with him for nearly 27 years now. And there will be another 27 years ahead with him. I’m going on 39yo and I sleep with a Grogu pillow pet. Cannot sleep without it. Before I found this pillow pet, I slept with a smaller square pillow that I snuggled. I originally started using it after a surgery which left me with a ileostomy bag on the Grinch Christmas lights dabbing shirt and I love this left side of my stomach. I’m 32 and sleep with my Teddy, I’ve had since I was 1yo. His name is Ted. He gives me a sense of comfort and security. Also helps with my anxiety as he is familiar. I cuddle him every night before I fall asleep.
Well I sleep with my 4 year old now lol but before I was married/had kids I slept with my body pillow. Loved it! I’m 26, I do, he’s an orangutan called Beni . I got him initially because I needed something to snuggle after a pregnancy loss, and teddies are VERY good for mental health! The ones currently in my bed are two cats. My adopted parents bought him for me when i first met them. He had been through a lot. Nope, think I stopped around 10 years of age – was called ‘Monkey’ and it was a white monkey, very creative I know This is a timely topic for me. I’m in my 50’s (M) for reference. My first real love and I got Bears for each other (we were 17ish). We used to take them to movies, zoos, vacations, etc. Loved it, didn’t care what people thought. Pure innocence. I have a unicorn pillow pet named Cornelia and a big stuffed bee named Buzz (creative names I know) i got my wife a llama with a heatable bean filling. during her monthly cramps she sleeps with it, works like a charm because it also gives a calming lavender scent No, haven’t had a soft toy in my bed since I turned 20 (now 36). Used to have this stupid monkey which would sit next to my bed but got rid of it when I went to uni… it’s hard to bang chicks when you have a soft toy in your bed. I will say this though – my partner (28) sometimes struggles to sleep, and when she does we get her old teddy bear out and she tends to fall asleep immediately once she has it. I live 500km away from my parents and I can’t see them often, so every visit I pay them is precious to all of us. This Christmas, my mom gifted me a stuffed elephant that sings a peek-a-boo song.
