It caused a lot of problems as a kid where it used to take so long to clean myself that sometimes I would just hold it. Now that I’m in my 30’s I don’t like it but I accept it. Underware is washable and I change it when needed. Imagine you spill a container of brown pudding and ask for help cleaning it up. I then hand you a roll of toilet paper. Can you wipe a lot of it up with the paper? Yes. Will it leave brown smudges on the surface for a long time until water is applied to soak/remove it? Yes.

Most Americans are dry wiping. That is, using wads of paper to somehow clean betwixt their stinky bun flaps. And it doesn’t really work.
