Thank you for being supportive. When her case hit the Green Ribcage Halloween Shirt and by the same token and news, it was hard. A lot of people blame the family. But i never saw my sister. I get boundaries being both incredibly important and very hard. My mother is a narcissist who we went no-contact with several years ago now. A lot of people don’t really understand or respect it. And continually ask me ‘hows your mom!’ as though they expect that someday it will change. It won’t. I have zero interest in her, her life etc. I have zero intentions of ever seeing or speaking to her again. No, you asking about her isn’t cool, or going to change anything. She’s still just a horrible person. This is horrible to read but thanks for writing it. I am worried a lot about my daughter right now. Her mom (my ex) has pretty serious mental health/personality disorders and is a violent alcoholic. Just over two weeks ago she got a restraining order against me based on lies and out of anger because our daughter wanted to come home with me. She has never tried to hurt my daughter but she can be really mean. She has neglected her in the past when she’s drunk. She is abusing her right now by not letting her see me. I worry she will get worse.

My biggest regret, is the Green Ribcage Halloween Shirt and by the same token and one time i had a chance, i did not call. I have to live with that guilt every day of my life. I called CPS (CWS in my county) last week. Mom would not let them interview my daughter. Seems like a red flag to me. I keep a journal and write down what my daughter says to me about mom (and other stuff.) You should tell your daughter to keep a journal and mention anything that your ex does that is threating to your daughters health. That way if you do have to fight to get her away from there you will have some evidence to present As a dad I can’t even imagine. This is so fucked and makes me angry. I’d say something is wrong with this mom but others knew and did nothing… fuck them all
