They never said it was more important or even recommended it. All they did was say it being at an angle doesn’t equate to failure 100% of the time The residue isn’t going to cause an issue. Speaking as someone who’s built computers for a living for 20 years plus and done some jank ass shit to computer. It is an issue however that the heat will cause it to let go and wreak potential system damage

Can be had for like $10-$15 at an auto parts store. or buy a small screw kit and do it the correct way for around 10$ on amazon like this: I just bought one on Amazon for $4.80 that was 5 screws and 5 standoffs. I also taped mine done for 1 day with painters tape. What if you use a drill to enlarge the hole in the ssd and motherbored so that a thick household sxrew will fit Bro it’s plastic just heat up a sharp knife or even a butter knife with a blow torch and press it through dint forget the twist to.make sure ots a perfect circle though Are screws really that expensive in this day and age or is laziness just getting to a point where people feel that it’s okay to half ass fix problems with solutions that could actually cause major issues later on.
