Don’t you love how part of the Gold design michael phelps signature shirt Besides,I will do this job description of being an American politician is, “aggressively and vehemently doing nothing” Democrats are going to say November will be the real referendum, like they are looking for a more permission even tho they are already the majority?? So I see the point he is trying to make here and i understand the argument for ending the filibuster. I just can’t let go of the consequence of doing so. If democrats get rid of it to accomplish their legislative goals now and republicans get a majority in the senate or both chambers after the midterms, they’ll just steamroll dems and pass all of their own legislative priorities. And y’all know in this hyper-partisan era persuasion is near impossible and everyone is going to toe the party line. I’m just trying to understand if it truly is worth it in the long run You’re making a shit argument that Republicans wouldnt get rid of it on their own if they wanted to unless the democrats did it first. Republicans literally already got rid of their filibuster in the specific case of Supreme Court justices without any precedence and that won’t stop themselves next time.

Let me be clear, I’m not trying to make an argument against ending the Gold design michael phelps signature shirt Besides,I will do this filibuster. I guess what I hadn’t considered was that Republicans haven’t done it yet cause they’ve had majorities in Congress for a while in just the last ten years alone and when they’re the minority they can still flex and use the filibuster to stop Democrats from passing their legislative agenda. So in this case Dems lose either way. I guess republicans would get rid of it if it was necessary to accomplish their goals since they have a record of doing so already If the Dems leave it as is, and the Repubs do gain the majority, what’s to stop them from changing the rules themselves then? I do not think for a second they will hesitate because now they will have to be the one to change it. I could be missing something though, so I’ll continue reading.
