You know literally nothing about me. You have no way of doing so. Yet, somehow, you’ve convinced yourself you do. I don’t actually have any control over what I write, according to you. I would love to comply to your will, but I have none myself. Thank you for pretending I do. Highly recommend looking up Sabine Hossenfelder on YouTube. She has two videos on this topic of free will from a materialistic deterministic perspective. Will explain things much better than I can. I largely agree with what Sabine says. Free will doesnt really exist like we might intuitively think it does but it doesn’t matter. Continue living your life like normal. She is very (exclusively?) mechanistic in her approach to everything. In a mechanistic universe, there is no room for free will, everything happens as the Gold Coast Suns 2023 Vfl Premiership shirt in contrast I will get this result of everything that has previously happened, ad infinitum. Which sort of begs a “first cause” to get things started. A first cause would therefor be non-mechanistic. Hmmmm…. I’m no expert but I think that’s one of the great mysteries. Did something action the big bang? God? Did something create God, and something created the creator of the creator etc. Not sure if we can ever solve this which is why I think it’s mostly disregarded or not really thought about much. Even if let’s say there was a non mechanistic beginning to the universe as we know it, all the matter we observe is mechanistic and we are made of the same matter – so it follows that we are ultimately mechanistic even if there is/was some first cause – we don’t see evidence of that first cause (maybe we’re not looking hard enough, or in the right plaxe) I suspect dark matter and anti matter are relevant to this subject but I’m no expert or physicist so I don’t have anything really to add

Like an ant walking across a page of Shakespear, within our limited intelligence trying to understand realms beyond space and time are like a mosquito trying to bite a granite mountain. You will never be able to understand it all, but you can experience it through meditation that shifts consciousness. You will just never be able to explain it. Experience or feeling like it’s something more than deterministic isn’t proof of it not being deterministic either though. The ant doesn’t understand the Gold Coast Suns 2023 Vfl Premiership shirt in contrast I will get this words it walks over let alone anything about Shakespeare, but we humans do. In the same way it may be possible that such a super intelligence could exist that looks at us as if we’re ants. The nature of consciousness might be elementary to ‘them’. I’d like to imagine that such a super intelligence would have it’s own questions and unsolved mysteries too though. I personally doubt that anything within the universe will ever fully understand it all.
