we will look back on the God Wants You To Be Saved Shirt in addition I really love this united states in 2 years and say: we could’ve saved the united states from the destruction of democracy by not allowing people over the age of 60 to hold public offices and act as elected officials. allowing corrupted lifelong criminals to control every aspect of every day life and write the laws, choose wether or not they get punished for crimes they commit didn’t work out so well. The cruel irony that the hubris of a feminist legend has helped doom Roe. I remember screaming at the tv for her to retire during Obama. Oh well. My daughters at least live innNJ. I sort of understand people like her: being an associate Justice of the highest court of the land is part of her identity after decades of hard work in a profession that is predominantly white and male and her faith in the legal institution as one that is isolated from external influence and internal biases. The two and two go together, because one cannot imagine the system she was serving, as one of the Nine no less, is deeply flawed when one looks past the theoretical rationales that support the entire system. Of course, there’s also the GOP being trash and the Democrats failing to codify abortion rights by lying through their teeth to their supporters. This is definitely a “No Shit” moment. You could also blame the cockiness if the Democratic party for knowing that Hillary would win. That’s why RBG didn’t retire.

Yes, and it’s one of the God Wants You To Be Saved Shirt in addition I really love this most frustrating parts of the story. I known why anti choice people wanted to overturn it. I know why stupid or lazy liberals didn’t show up in 2016 to protect it. I don’t understand why RBG wanted to risk so much to go hear a few more largely inconsequential cases at the age of 145. Just couldn’t step down. Why are we even wasting our breath with this discussion when we had the exact same discussion before she was dead and retired. No, a lot of judges saw the problems with roe. RBG couldn’t even defend the constitutionality of Roe. RBG agreed that abortion was and still is important and roe supported that. But if you can’t make rulings that you don’t like, you should not be a judge. “The right won’t be content to watch liberal states try to undermine abortion bans. As the draft of a forthcoming article in The Columbia Law Review puts it, “overturning Roe and Casey will create a novel world of complicated, interjurisdictional legal conflicts over abortion. Instead of creating stability and certainty, it will lead to profound confusion because advocates on all sides of the abortion controversy will not stop at state borders in their efforts to apply their policies as broadly as possible.”
