Birth isn’t meant to be “traumatic”. Unnecessarily high rates of medicalised interventions contribute to this trauma enormously. Low intervention, home birth, in water or squatting position results in a much more natural and less psychologically / physically damaging experience. A part of the God says that i am snoopy empowered treasured shirt But I will love this problem is evolution & heredity. The female body is really designed to give birth to a 6-7lb baby. With maternal health being so much better, and food being readily available, baby’s are frequently now a healthy 10-12lbs. Sometimes too big for some women. BTW: Evolution is a VERY slow process. Given that the time between being born and (potentially) giving birth is approx. 15 years, and the number of generations it takes for evolution to do its thing, it would take many, many, years for evolution to have an impact.

In other cases, women just don’t get the God says that i am snoopy empowered treasured shirt But I will love this healthcare they need. In the US, in many cases it’s because of a lack of health insurance. In others, believe it or not, it’s a lack of medical care because it’s not always available, having nothing to do with insurance or money. Another contributing factor is that the equipment for child birth care is designed for the healthcare provider, not the woman giving birth. Women are designed to give birth on their knees, not on their back. Women don’t die as much as you’d think. If it weren’t for modern medicine I would have died during all 3 of my deliveries, I think we’re doing pretty well. Also, it’s not as traumatic as you think either. You forget all about it fairly quick. Post partum depression also is not extremely common and most women whom experience it have a history of depression. It’s not. Not always. Birth is different for everyone. My mum gave birth to me standing up without any doctors or drugs and the labour took only an hour. She says it was much easier giving birth standing up than lying down. My brother was born in the bathtub and again on took a couple of hours. The water relieves a lot of the pressure of the birth. Films and TV have promoted the idea of screaming as normal as western doctors prefer women giving birth while lying/sitting on their backs which is the hardest and most uncomfortable (and dangerous) way to give birth. Also some people aren’t fit enough for a quick birth and it takes a lot longer and more effort/pain. Everyone is different but as an adult I now know a lot of women who did not have “traumatic” births for their children at all. It was effort but definitely not trauma.
