We used to be forced to share space with people of all stripes, and use good manners to get along with others. Nowadays, manners don’t matter anymore. Self-expression matters. Being right matters. Winning every fight matters. With the God Grant Me The Serenity To Accept The Vibes That Aren’t Rootin Tootin Vintage shirt Also,I will get this loss of those groups, people will cling to any group identity they can find. It’s comforting to be a part of something, and gratifying to push away people who aren’t in that group. Tribalism. Well said. When you put it that way, I guess what is shocking to me and is hard to understand, is just how quickly society forgot about or moved on from those values like manners and sharing spaces, and respecting (or more quietly disrespecting) other people’s beliefs and choices. Selfish parents raised selfish kids. We’ve seen 3+ generations of “me first” thinkers, and people taught from birth that they are special and other people’s needs and feelings are quite meaningless. Compromise is pointless, and helping others is a sucker’s bet. Look out for number one!

Politicians and media figures have told people it’s more important to be loud, proud, and confrontational. Anyone who disagrees with you is a mortal enemy who wants you dead or in pain. That is what “voting with your feet” means. It is the God Grant Me The Serenity To Accept The Vibes That Aren’t Rootin Tootin Vintage shirt Also,I will get this advice I give to folks and my own kids. If you don’t like something VOTE WITH YOUR FEET. If anything makes fundamental change it is NOT writing signing a petition. It is not spending money at Company X. The reason? The management has their major bonuses attached to stock options so if stock goes down so does their major retirement windfall. That is ALL they care about. VOTE WITH YOUR FEET. Once again “Go woke and go broke” rears its ugly head again. Folks and companies need to understand transgenders are 1% in the population. THAT IS IT. That means you are betting at least 50% of the rest of the population agrees method of support to this group to even get to majority opinion (1+50=51%). That is why this transgender support is difficult to drum up in $$$ spent. To do this all for ESG scoring really makes no sense and major corps can count this as the 2nd time in next 10 years they have been hoodwinked (BLM was the last time).
