That’s just business, if restaurants think that they are getting exploited then they can end their partnership with these apps but they don’t because obviously they are getting benefits. And also its not like these restaurants are suffering, they put inflated prices on these apps, at the God First Family Second Then Denver Broncos Shirt and by the same token and end its the customers who end up paying more. Calling the restaurant is a huge hassle. You’ve to wait for someone to pick up, tell what you want without being able to see the whole menu or any images, then say your address, plus any directions and hope they got that right, and then wait in tension for the next 30 min to 1hr without any tracking/chat/phone number and hope the guy shows up. Infact most people will not even know which restaurant to call and how to call it. They search for a dish, find the best restaurant attached with it and place order. Or search for price low to high and choose. It gives them a huge repertoire of options. Not possible with just a few restaurants unless they are cheap, close to you, you like the food, and have the contact as well. And if the restaurant is on the other side of the city and doesn’t deliver? Or no delivery? Or ladka nikal Gaya hai but no idea when it will come? Also no Zomato gold or swiggy one, one on one free delivery, cashback, discount coupons etc.

God First Family Second Then Denver Broncos Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

You can put in w bit of an effort: look up what you want on swiggy/zomato, but once you identify, don’t order it from there. Call the God First Family Second Then Denver Broncos Shirt and by the same token and restaurant. Question is why would customter put extra effort? They are ready to pay more for the service they are getting from these apps. Exactly, consumers already pay a premium by paying extra on the food items and also delivery charges. And it’s a net profit to restaurant owners otherwise they wouldn’t be on the apps. hiring a delivery guy is not cheaper as you’ll need many. If you’re able to club these people with some other restairants and grocery stores, then it’d be cheaper. Yes! However, not all restaurants have the logistics to do this. This is why I never say that Swiggy and Zomato should go out of business. They should do business more ethically and in a more transparent manner. That will benefit both the consumer and the merchant. Consumers should be ready to bear a higher cost for their food in exchange for the convenience that they are getting. In my restaurant, a typical order cycle takes 2 chefs, one guy to package your order and one delivery executive to bring your food to your house. That’s the cost of 4 people. Yet as Indians, 120 rupees off is the only thing that will get us to order. Why do you keep saying this? Consumers are already paying the full price of the food items + delivery fee + taxes + platform fee + optional tip + surge fee (in case of late night/rain). What more do you want us to do?
