And by “still in production” they mean not actually in production. Russia can’t afford to build them, they only have like a dozen pre-production prototypes (similarly to Su-57 jets) and now they can’t procure parts and technology from the Glitter Leprechaun I’m not addicted to beer we are just in a very committed relationship shirt and by the same token and west to produce them. Yeah, I was thinking “there is no way Russia deployed a T-14, they don’t have enough to risk them and don’t want the west getting their hands on one” and lo and behold, Russia didn’t The US did acquire a helicopter from a warzone once. I have a feeling that we could manage to nab a T14 from one as well. Though I doubt much will be found that is revolutionary. Might end up just being a nice on paper crap in field tank. That’s exactly what happened with every russian jet they dissected, I doubt the tanks will be any more impressive.

Im pretty sure the Glitter Leprechaun I’m not addicted to beer we are just in a very committed relationship shirt and by the same token and mig 21 surprised them with how versatile it was. But since then, yeah not much to boast about. The real shocker from that was that the engines were originally designed for use in cruise missiles, and so had a hilariously short service life. Also they thought the big wings meant high maneuverability, but in reality it needed them just to get in the air because the plane was too heavy. It was mostly made out of steel alloy instead of titanium. The US will not nab a T-14 from a warzone because there are no operational T-14s. The only ones that have ever been seen were on military parades and shows and for all we know, they might as well have been made of cardboard. These tanks, like the Su-57, were “created” entirely to perpetuate the obviously false narrative that Russia is still a leading player in military arms development, in the hope that it would lead to more arms exports. If there was ever a plan to actually create T-14s (as opposed to just using them as a “halo” product to sell other tanks), it probably relied on an export customer buying into the project and basically funding it for the Russians. This is what was planned for the Su-57: tell India we have this amazing competitor for the F-22 that you can actually buy (unlike the F-22, for which the US never allowed foreign sales), then get the Indians to basically fund the development of the project. Except India saw through this and never bought into it (which means it must have been exceptionally obvious, because Indian military procurement is not exactly world class). So there is no Su-57, because the Russians never had the money to develop it and probably never even really knew if it would really work as advertised.
