I’d agree with the Get Two Birds Stoned At Once Ducks T-Shirt moreover I love this other poster that Aritzia and Reformation seem to fit this vibe somewhat, although they’re a bit over your budget. Some Sezane stuff could fit too (but again, over budget). For pieces under $100, Zara might be a good option. I was also a big Poshmark shopper during my PhD program – I bought a lot of Aritzia stuff that was hardly worn from Posh at a steep discount. I recently finished a PhD program and am now a faculty member who works with a lot of grad students. When it comes to clothes as a grad student, I’d wait to buy a bunch of stuff until you get a vibe for your program. Formality level varies a ton by discipline and program, and you want to get a feel for what your program is like. It was common for PhD students in my program to teach undergrads and do research with faculty, so “business casual” guidelines were followed fairly regularly. Some of the stuff in your inspo album would have been perfectly fine, but other, more sexy looks would have been really out of place in my program (although they’re super cute and would fit in well for evening social gatherings with other students). That reality sucks and is an unfortunate remnant of the patriarchy for sure, but I also want you to be aware so that you can make decisions that are best for you! I could write on and on about this, but I’ll quit lol.

More affordable variations might be at Dynamite or Garage, Abercrombie, tbh I think I’ve seen some tops like that at Simons too. And a lot of whowhatwear.com is probably up your alley. Modern Citizen and Marcella lean that way slightly, they’re a bit feminine but maybe not as soft around the edges as some of your inspo pics. for the most part it’s more conservative than what you posted but maybe interesting to you? then there’s the old classics Express and Mango that have young-ish casual workwear but again the cuts might be more conservative than you like. eta I just came across this brand which actually might hit most of your points – Petal & Pup. and also Princess Polly just came to mind
