The server performance is also very bad, and it directly affects your ingame FPS as well. Sometimes when the Get on the beers Dan Andrews shirt and by the same token and server is good your FPS will be better but if the server is horrible then your FPS will be bad as well. The gameplay is cool but i think a free week event is not long enough for you to fully explore and feel the fun star citizen offers. It’s not a game for everyone, it caters towards a specific type of gamers because there are PVPs in the game but its not similar to other PVP shooter games because how bad the server is, you will always feel the delay from what i’ve seen. Most of the time you will spend grinding money by doing other missions anyways, unless you specifically track down players to kill, So i guess it’s better suited towards those who likes to grind.

I like how immersive the Get on the beers Dan Andrews shirt and by the same token and game feels, even when you only play with mouse and keyboard. The fact that you have to press buttons to open up your ship doors and start the engine, get into the gunner seat, etc makes the game feels like you’re actually there. This game can be way more immersive if you have a flight sim and this game even have the eye tracking feature. But that’s the thing, if you really want to enjoy the game to it’s full potential then you’ll need to upgrade your PC, get a flight sim, and other things, i’m not saying you can’t enjoy the game without investing on any of these but if you really want to try what star citizen offers then you’ll need to spend a lot of money. But the question whether it’s worth it or not in the long run always pops in my mind, because the most eye opening moment i got was after i asked the people in chat “why don’t the devs optimize this game better” and i got a reply saying “because there is no point, the game always changes and it’s a very tedious job to keep optimizing the game over and over again after each update”. That made me realize what other things are the devs going to implement before they actually release the game. Technologies are always improving so it seems that the devs will probably keep adding new things over and over again and never really release the game. In fact when i participated in the free fly event it was during one of the worse times for star citizen because they just implemented a feature where objects that you drop, regardless if it’s a super valuable gun or just an empty bottle, will actually stay there forever until someone moves it or dispose it. That really broke the game and gave horrible server and fps issues. At first i wanted to buy it but at that price point i feel like i might as well get starfield instead.
