Sorry but that’s nonsense. That entire article reads like one from the Gerald Everett American football tight end for the Los Angeles Chargers T-Shirt and I will buy this 1950s on why everyone will wear plastic clothes in 1980. “This is what people want! We’re on the cusp of change!” I can totally understand women wanting pockets (who wouldn’t?!) but the amount of stuff many carry around with them is simply unfeasible for pockets alone. …unless you WANT multiple bulging pockets full of keys, phone, moisturiser, lip stick, lip gloss, blusher, eye liner, sanitary products, hair brush, hair bands, deodorant, perfume, dry shampoo, purse, tissues, etc… Yes, I’m sure you’re different and you personally could take everything you need with you in one single pocket, if only you could (amirite!?), but for every woman like you there are probably 10-20 who don’t want bulging pockets and DO want/need a bag.

I had this conversation with my wife this week. She kept taking things out of her bag and handing them to me to pocket. I’m sorry but even with these “big ass pockets” I can only really fit a wallet, keys, phone, and like one or two other small things. My wife pulled 3 smaller bags out of her purse which contained things like feminine products, Makeup, and pencils. She also had a book and several dozen snacks/assorted fidget toys and electronics. There is no way you are ever reasonably going to be carrying that stuff with you all the Gerald Everett American football tight end for the Los Angeles Chargers T-Shirt and I will buy this time using pockets. You just have to be willing to take less stuff with you everywhere. Your pocket size could increase 700% and you still wouldn’t have the space.
