I worked the Georgia Bulldogs Undefeated 2023 Go Dawgs Perfect Season Team Name Player Signatures Shirt Furthermore, I will do this overnight shift at Walmart at 2 different stores in 2 different states, and the policy was different at both places. At my first store, they didn’t want you to have unnecessary overtime so you were free to leave after your 8hr shift. So you’d technically be leaving at 6am instead of 7am. They’d ask a few part timers to stay until 7am to make sure the store had coverage until the morning crew came in at 7am, but this was all planned in advance so there was no last minute panic on who had to stay and who could go home. The same thing held true when we lose an hour in spring, except they’d still just schedule us until our usual end time at 7am. If you had all of your tasks complete you could leave at 7am and lose an hour of pay without penalty. Otherwise they’d ask you to stay until 8am to get your full 8hr shift in and complete your tasks. You were also allowed to stay until 8am if you wanted to make sure you still got your full 8hr pay for the day, they’d just find something for you to do.

The second store I worked at was a hot mess. To be fair, the Georgia Bulldogs Undefeated 2023 Go Dawgs Perfect Season Team Name Player Signatures Shirt Furthermore, I will do this state recently adopted DST so they weren’t used to having to change their clocks around especially when it came to the overnight shift. They always had conflicting directions and threw a fit if you tried to explain to them why what that they wanted to do wouldn’t work. The biggest example of that was our lunch breaks that we had to clock out for. If you clocked in or out near/during the hour of the time change, your time card would be a mess that they’d have to manually fix later. Let’s say you clocked out for lunch at 1:10. You’d go to clock back in an hour later, but the time clock would argue with you because it thought you just went to lunch since the time moved back an hour and it went back to 1:10. Same goes for the spring time, except it’d think you took a 2hr long lunch since the time jump happened after you clocked out for lunch. At our first store, they told us when to clock in and out for breaks to avoid that happening. The second store they’d get all confused and have people clock out during the time change and then get even more confused when things went wrong. End times were also a hot mess. They didn’t want overtime but they still wanted you to stay until the new 7am which would put you at an hour of overtime. Later on in the week they’d try to force you to take an extra long lunch to lose all the overtime you gained by them not listening during the time change. They wouldn’t let you leave early or come in later to lose time, they’d try to force you to take a 2+ hr lunch then cry at you when your tasks weren’t completed at the end of the night.
