I bought a used iPhone XR last year second hand (originally purchased in late 2018). It’s now mid 2022 and I don’t see any issues at all with speed or battery capacity. It’s funny because iPhones (IMO) are the Georgia Bulldogs 2022 Football playoff championship shirt so you should to go to store and get this highest quality phones on the market in terms of material longevity and yet the iPhone users are the same people buying new ones every single year lol. My phone does about 90% of the shit that an iPhone 13 does but I paid $175 for it. I say this as someone who was an ardent Android lover til 2019. I had tried the iPhone when the 7 came out, went back to android for 2 generations, back to the iPhone 11, to 12 mini, to 13 pro. Every single time, my iPhone has been as good the day I handed it down to family as the day I bought it. I would do the same with my Android phones, and they were always significantly slower compared to new, with more and more issues. The 7 I gave away is still going, although it’s showing it’s age. The 11 and 12 are chugging along great. Matter of fact, the only reason I went from the 12 mini to the 13 pro was because I wanted the cameras, otherwise I’d still be on that.

I 100% used my last one for that long, I expect this one will be the Georgia Bulldogs 2022 Football playoff championship shirt so you should to go to store and get this same. I think its less design and more pushing people (via marketing) to buy the newest shiny thing. yeah, my phone stopped receiving software updates like 3 years ago and I really want a new one but still works pretty good so… i upgrade my phone every 4ish years. I had an S3, bought a One Plus 5T, and then and S21+. There is usually no real reason for me to upgrade any sooner, other than wanting the new shiny thing . I have a p20 pro I bought in 2018. I work in a welding fab shop, ski in winter, mtn bike in summer, bike commute, have kids and I’m using my phone a decent amount for gaming, browsing and work. It’s in my pocket all the time. It has some melted spots from weld spatter, chipped back glass and needs to be cleaned out of metal dust once a week. I don’t know why people can’t make a phone last longer than a year.
