What you and so many here are desperately trying to avoid saying is that India’s problems are CULTURAL. Hygiene, safety, compliance etc, all these are rooted in cultural problems. And we wonder why Indian goods are cheaper than North American made goods. Poor wages and no QC, yet we import this garbage, shame on greedy North American companies wanting to maximize profits. Chinese companies often do ip theft and pay abysmal wages, but they end up producing products ranging from cheap quality to decent standard ones. India, i feel, is always jugaad mentality.
