The phrase you want is “we’re having a baby” or “we’re expecting”. You’re both expecting a baby but only one of you is expecting to give birth. Once the Gabriel Dumont Syracuse Crunch hockey player shirt in addition I really love this child arrives you are both equally responsible for care, but during pregnancy it simply can’t be equitable. You just do the best you can to be supportive, and that’s great, but pregnancy is just not something that can be shared equally if only one of you can physically be pregnant. The vitriol toward “we’re pregnant” doesn’t make any sense to me – obviously the pregnant woman is doing the hard work! If “we’re pregnant” is part of some pattern of male bad behavior in a relationship, then interpret it that way. Context is important but lacking on this forum.

Gabriel Dumont Syracuse Crunch hockey player shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I’ve heard it in the Gabriel Dumont Syracuse Crunch hockey player shirt in addition I really love this wild and in every case I read it as enthusiasm and commitment, which is usually how it’s meant. Not every offhand comment is patriarchal or underhanded. Let’s all let people be excited that they are having babies. Quite entertaining to those of us who have actually been pregnant, but it’s honestly not worth harping on folks who are excited about the new addition to their family. Let em say it and go giggle to yourself in private. My thoughts are it’s a little cringe at best, but if that in sincerely how these two people are framing it, then that is how I will also frame their totally shared pregnancy. Maybe it’s your wording or how your wife actually said it, but men need support through the process of becoming a father also. I’m not taking away everything that a woman experiences physically/mentally during pregnancy and childbirth, it’s very clear. But men go through some shit too, it’s just different, and it’s overlooked.
